• Managed to ensure TRANSPARENT I.T. controls and IT risk mitigation in place in a rapidly growing environment where bank grew from 50 staff 2007 to more than 3000 staff in less than one year recruiting several outsourced staff from different providers.
• Assisted Barclays bank to build their IT security department, transparent IT controls and BCP/DRP plan for all countries outside UK (emerging markets). I managed to complete the assigned task for Barclays within time, and with 30% less than the first estimated budget, I build up the department and set it up in a way to minimize the company risk and Barclays UAE was not affected at this time by electronic attacks that hit a national bank in UAE and our proposed strategy and actions were proven successful and showed to the management value and worthiness of the invested money at a time where information security risks and thefts were not as visible as nowadays, even our highlighted controls which showed business risk areas that was neglected and budgeted as acceptable risk then were proven with time that it was too sever to ignore when accumulated together and cost the business acceptance a heave penalty later on. in the department we built within Barclays we included both physical security, electronic surveillance and IT controls, IT culture training, Fraud risk, SOC, under one manageable umbrella that was easy to manage, measure and identify value and introduce within the organization culture
