Scope of Work:

Safety and Security Officer (South Syria) is responsible for safety and security duties for South Syria, supervising operational security and information management related to security for the Amman based programs in South Syria, advise on access and acceptance related strategies in these environments with the primary goal of safety and continuity of programming throughout the changing conflict area and humanitarian context. participate in program planning, orientation and training of new team members, ensure the preparation of Security Management Plans (SMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and incident management processes, risk assessment.
Support management, partners, and staff in their responsibility for ensuring the process of reporting and documenting security incidents and with an understanding of donor requirements of accountability. liaise with partners, authorities and institutions that affect the access, safety and security of Mercy Corps staff, assets, partners and beneficiaries. support the inputs to briefing requirements of country management and peer departments from time-to-time.
Capacity building and support partners to ensure the preparation of Security Management Plans (SMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and incident management processes, risk assessment.
Achievements:
The security management plan was created after we did the risk assessment for each operation location at South Syria. I prepared weekly security reports, and present weekly security briefing for south Syria. More than 10 training courses for Mercy Corps staff inside Syria were conducted in the field of security and safety, either online or through contracted trainers inside Syria.
During the emergency response at South Syria, security context analysis and advance scenarios planning helped to ensure MC successfully prioritized Quneitra early in the response, also continuously coordination with program management, partners, and inside team improved security for staff and partners operating in South Syria. Staff tracking and continues communications with the inside team to ensure the staff safety in very critical period.

Field Logistics Coordinator / Camps Security Focal Point at Mercy Corps

Scope of Work:


The Field Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing all logistics functions for Mercy Corps operations in Azraq and Zaatari camps including procurement related to the camp, facilities, vehicles, equipment, assets and inventory. The Field Logistics Coordinator reports directly to the UNICEF CP Program Manager and has close interaction with the Operations Director and Program Camp Coordinators. The country program requires high-paced procurement to meet the needs of thousands of beneficiaries (refugees) affected by the war, as well as to service a large development portfolio. As field procurement coordinator ensures the smooth coordination with the procurement department for effective procurement process in emergency context.

Responsible for the safety and security of Mercy Corps operations in the camps, attend camp security meetings and report any safety and security concerns to the program manager and operations director.
Achievements:
The repositories have been reorganized in a safe and professional manner according to Mercy Corps standards. During this period, the warehouse of Mercy Corp, which contains materials with a value of up to 250, 000JD has been successfully reorganized and maintain inventory. All Mercy Corps centers and safe areas for children in the camps have been maintained to ensure high standards safety and protection. training was conducted in public safety (first aid and fire extinguishing). All public safety means were purchased and maintained, moreover evacuation drill was carried out with children's participation in this center.
