Our project was created to enable management to better leverage information collected within Marriott's current operational systems to help in their decision-making process to analyze the sales product wise, sales team's performance and sales promotions etc. The system aimed to provide continuity of knowledge about customers and facilitates proactive sales management techniques for customer-centric teams.
• Designed, Implemented and maintained Database Schema, Entity relationship diagrams, Data modeling, Tables, Stored procedures, Triggers, Constraints, Indexes, Functions, Views and complex SQL statements.
• Involved in optimizing queries for faster retrieval and Server efficiency.
• Created stored procedures for day end operations using SQL Server agent.
• Performance tuning of SQL queries and stored procedures using SQL Profiler and Tuning Wizard.

The goal of this project was to build a reporting warehouse that provides integrated views of information that can be verified with respect to historical as well as present data and show trends regarding sales data, customers, supplier profiles, products, and their relationships.
• Involved in dimensional modeling of the reporting warehouse.
• Interacted with clients in requirements gathering, designing functional and technical specifications for reporting needs.
• Design and implement multi-dimensional OLAP cubes using Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)
• Create and optimize mappings (ETL) for large scale data warehouse by indexing, create both database table partitions and cube partitions to optimize big tables' performance, create summary tables for additive facts/metrics properly to improve query performance greatly.
