Borg Al Arab
- Responsible for all activities relating to the daily Operation and maintenance at KAHRABA power plant at Borg Al Arab 2 which include Wartsila Gas gensets and its auxiliaries which include reciprocating and screw compressors, Ventilation system, water treatment unit, fire fighting system and emergency diesel black start generator.
- schedule the monthly planned maintenance with maintenance manager.
- Make daily inspection routine to all equipment in the power plant.
- Coordinate with the operation shift engineer to schedule the planned maintenance to achieve the monthly target with minimum down time.
- Perform corrective and preventive maintenance repairs according to safety regulations.
- Monitors the operation and performance of the facility Through SCADA whilst on shift and operate the power plant in the absence of the operation shift engineer in normal and emergency situations on both grid and island mode as required.
- Gather O&M statistical data and trends for analysis before and after every maintenance then take action if needed to achieve smooth operation with best efficiency.
- Record all maintenance data on daily and monthly basis including preventive and corrective work orders.
- Follow up the performance of the engines through the analysis of SOS, water and gas analysis.
-Participating in the installation, commissioning and startup of all equipment in the new gas power plant at Borg al Arab 2 with capacity of 60 MW.
Mantrac diesel generators power station at ASEC Cement -Minya City
Mantrac diesel power station at ASEC cement consists of 31 diesel generators with different power ratings from 0.5 MVA up to 2 MVA connected in parallel to each other using ComAp synchronization module to produce overall capacity of 44 MVA then supply the factory with power through step up transformers and switchgear.
Responsibilities:
- Participating in the initial installation, commissioning and startup of all equipment in the site.
- Lead a team of engineers and technicians to do all the site activities safely.
- Reporting the site activities to the site manager.
- Manage the operation and the maintenance processes during the shift.
- Coordinate with the client in order to provide the electrical power needed upon request.
- Daily inspection of all equipment in the site including diesel generators, power transformers, compressed air system and fuel system.
- Coordinate with the site manager the maintenance schedule.
- supervise subcontractors and check on their activities.
- Operation of diesel generators and medium voltage switchgear.
- Performing Technical Inspection & Troubleshooting for CATERPILLAR Diesel Generators beside Condition monitoring Using Electronic Technicians program (ET) diagnostic system.
- Perform preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance of diesel generators.
- Make all the Corrective actions including engine overhaul to keep smooth operation.
- Conduct technical training to the new staff
