Worked with the Antibiotic Resistance Analysis and Advocacy Advisor Carine Naim, and was able to successfully:
• Write an Opinion Piece on the role of NGOs in tackling Antimicrobial Resistance in Humanitarian Settings.
• Compose a Research Proposal about the barriers migrant workers experience in accessing secondary healthcare in Lebanon
• Devise Advocacy Tools to advocate for global action on Antimicrobial Resistance
Worked with the Program Division Manager and the Refugee Health Program Coordinator on The SEEK Trial for research in Sexual and Reproductive Health in Humanitarian Settings, and was able to successfully:
• Monitor the data collection process conducted on a sample of Syrian refugees in a primary healthcare setting to ensure survey completeness, timeliness, and wellbeing of the survey participants.
• Conduct a thorough cleaning and categorization of the collected data to ensure quality data driven decision-making.
• Develop the structure and design of the training material to be administered to paraprofessionals working with a registered sample of Syrian refugees.
• Collaborate with the Design Department to create PowerPoints for the training program that match GHIs branding guidelines.
• Work jointly with a research assistant to pilot a tool from a survey through cognitive interviewing.
• Train an intern to collaborate with team members to translate training material.
Worked with the Program Coordinator in the Conflict Medicine Program and was able to successfully:
• Perform complete stakeholder mapping for 500+ stakeholders located in three different regions.
• Conduct a thematic analysis in English for transcribed interviews in Arabic.
• Design an Interview Guide for semi-structured qualitative interviews.
• Translate a survey from English to Arabic.
• Conduct a basic quantitative analysis of the demographics of a population in several regions using a dataset in IBM SPSS software.
Acted as a teaching assistant to Niveen Kanaan, professor in the Health Management and Policy Department in the Faculty of Health Science, as well as organizing PowerPoints by adding information, and inserting relevant graphs.
Collected the necessary quantitative and qualitative data required to conduct literature reviews on topics assigned by Dr. May Massoud, Associate Professor of Environmental Health at the Faculty of Health Science.
