In charge of Civil Works Design Coordination with consultants and clients. Consistently monitor Document/Drawing Control & Monitoring System for the planning, actual and revised targets of submissions to maintain updated register. Prepare a baseline planned submission program of civil documents/drawings as per project time schedule and site requirements in coordination with Project Planner. Ensure timely submission of drawings/documents by consultants as per planned program. Thoroughly review submitted drawings/documents against contractual requirements and specs and insures compliance with related equipment requirements and to transmit received information to all concerned parties/agencies. Ensure minimum conflicts/discrepancies with relevant disciplines. Compile documents/drawings and submit to client through the Document Controllers. Pursue with clients for approval. In case of clarifications, arrange with relevant agencies to clarify/revise/improve as per client’s comments to expedite approvals. Discuss with PM any client’s comments resulting in cost variation before reply/confirmation. Ensure timely issuing of Released for Construction drawings to sites through Documents Controllers. Participate in coordination meetings and monthly progress meetings with clients. Visit sites regularly to audit/ensure that site staffs are working with the latest drawings. Clarify to site engineers any design related discrepancies or missing details in coordination with designers. Participate in evaluating PQ Documents of civil design consultants before start of project for the selection of the appropriate consultant. Review subcontract design agreement ensuring scope of works of subcontractor is matching client’s standards and target dates. Monitor/validate monthly progress of civil design wrt time schedule and site activities in coordination with Project Planner. Monitor/validate periodic invoices of design consultants before payment to ensure matching design progress achieved.
• Production and preparation of Architectural Drawings of power substations by the use of AutoCAD. The drawings include: layouts, plans, elevations, sections and full details throughout all design stages; base design, detailed design, issued for construction and as built. • Managing the architectural workflow and team in the office. This includes: supervising works accomplishment and progress, manpower/resources allocation, work-man-hours, time sheets, CAD workflow, CAD Standardization, submission deadlines, and drawings checking/counter-checking with other engineering drawings for integration and conformity.• Managing the overall progress of the project and staff/resources allocation to ensure meeting project milestones and deadlines.• Comprehending the project tendering and contractual documents, technical specifications, codes and standards and implementing them throughout the project stages.• Attending regular (local and abroad) Design Review Meetings with clients to discuss project progress, comments and approvals on drawings throughout different project stages.• Coordinating with international clients to discuss project progress, comments and approvals on drawings throughout different project stages. • Quality Control: reviewing and counter-checking different engineering drawings i.e. structural, civil, electrical and mechanical of the project for integrity and final inspection before final submission or issuing to site. • Supervising (DMS) Documents Management System in the office. This involves electronically managing, archiving, preserving and retrieving technical documents. These documents include drawings, calculations, revisions tracking, submittals, comments, approvals, emails, correspondence, manuals and brochures. • Preparing Bill of Quantities for the Architectural Works in the projects.
