•Perform financial management duties including generating financial data, compiling and submitting reports, analyzing industry trends and assessing the financial health of the company.
•Oversee the operations and development of the company’s finance departments including creating and reviewing policies, budgeting, recruiting, training and conducting regular assessments of financial procedures.

Strategic Management
• Lead and manage the accounting department in Saudi Arabia contributing to the achievement of business goals and objectives.
• Develop, implement and maintain effective accounting system, policies, procedures and internal controls facilitating smooth and efficient operations.
Financial Accounting
• Manage all aspects of branch accounting in Saudi Arabia and supervise on time accurate preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements and reports for submission to the company headquarters in Sharjah UAE.
• Supervise all financial and cost accounting activities related to general ledger (GL), accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP)
• Support all activities related to monthly closure of general ledger including preparation, verification and reconciliation of journal entries.
• Coordinate preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements complying with IFRS and regulatory requirements.
• Deal with tax administration ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements related to VAT and withholding tax and produce monthly reports.
• Review and validate all payroll data ensuring that payment of employee salaries and wages comply with company policies & procedures as well as labor laws & GOSI regulations and generate monthly reports.
Commercial Accounting
• Supervise the commercial department, review all deals and agreements ensuring adherence to applicable policies and procedures.
• Monitor and ensure on time completion of all customer orders and projects as per contractual terms and obligations.
• Evaluate day-to-day retail operations and supervised the credit control department in ensuring on time collection of payments from customers.
• Control all aspects of accounts receivable and accounts payable, verify and approve payment vouches, invoices and journal entries and ensure on time payment of debtors and invoicing on creditors.
• Review letter of credit (LC) documents before submission to customer and ensure establishment of LCs.
Budgets, Cost Control and Cash Flow Management
• Coordinate with various departments including operations and sales in development of business forecasts and formulation of capital expenditure and operational expenditure budgets.
• Review capital appropriations and operational expenses, monitor performance and highlight areas of concern to the senior management.
• Work closely with operations and sales teams in analyzing costs and margins, identifying variances from budgets and implementing corrective and improvement plans.
• Establish and administer a process for cost-sensitivity analysis to provide early warnings of cost overruns in company projects.
• Monitor collections and ensure consistent achievement of revenue targets.
• Ensure effective cash management ensuring optimum availability of funds to meet business needs including funding requests and/or deployment of surplus funds.
• Coordinate with the company’s bankers and negotiate to meet capital requirements at competitive terms.

• Conducted internal audits related to financial aspects of the business to ensure compliance with applicable accounting and reporting standards like IFRS as well as to identify, assess and recommend mitigation plans for risks.

• Managed day-to-day finance and accounts activities related to the company’s engineering projects in MEP and water & power (WP) sectors in Egypt.
• Dealt with all accounting tasks to prepare full set of accounts and enabled on time closing of accounts.
• Deal with tax administration ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements related to Sales Tax and withholding tax and produce monthly reports.
• Participated in preparation of cost forecasts and budgets for projects as well as tracking, monitoring and controlling costs within approved budgets.
