other side, etc., as detailed hereafter.
involved in all QP/Company Procurement and Contracting
activities for small, medium and large scale projects with extensive complexity and diversity,
and periodic/call-off maintenance Contracts, as detailed below:
* Preparation of tender plan/strategy including identification of the type of tender (open,
classified or single/sole source), contract type (EPIC, consultancy, call-off, etc.), contract
price (lump sum, re-measurable or both) and time schedule; Prequalification of potential
bidders as necessary, selection of the most appropriate bidders list in case of classified
tenders; review of scope of work/services, selection of applicable general conditions of
Contract, developing suitable pricing structure and all other appendices to the Contract and
the form of agreement; preparation and finalization of the whole tender document with
suitable and specific conditions and ensuring that Company policies and procedures are
followed; lead role in conducting pre-tender meetings; issue of tender bulletins (to reply to
bidders’ queries); extension of tender closing date as required;
* Overall review and evaluation of the technical bids on opening (as a member of the bid
evaluation team) including coordination and issue of the technical and financial clarifications
to bidders;
* Preparation of technical evaluation reports based on input from user/sponsoring, financial &
legal departments representatives and submission to relevant tender committees to obtain
approval for the commercial bids opening; evaluation of commercial bids including
preparation of price comparison, sensitivity analysis for complex price structures and re-
measurable rates/prices to obtain the best commercial option;
* Preparation of commercial evaluation reports and submission to relevant tender committees
to obtain the approval for the commercial evaluation and to conduct
clarifications/negotiations or to award the contract; handling of commercial clarifications
and negotiations with bidders as recommended by tender committees; issue of letters of
award of Contract to the selected bidder/winner; preparation and finalization of contract
documents for signing by contractors and QP;
* Post-award contracts administration including review/approval of performance bonds and
insurance documents; review of contract work change requests issued by user/sponsoring

department and preparation of amendments/variations to the Contracts and
cancellation/termination as necessary; review of claims against (or from) contractors
including notification of delay, notice of default issued by Company and time extension
requests by contractors, etc.; review and approval of all Contracts close out documents
(completion certificate, statement of final account, discharge certificate);
* Follow up and maintaining all the tendering process and contracts using Company
management system (SAP External Service Management module) as per the Company work
flow policy; advise users in implementing Contract requirements and interpreting Contract
terms, etc.

On Leave (R&R) after termination by ETAP of the Secondment contract with Petrofac (after several
years of hard work) with the intention of a reassignment within a major project (Nawara Gas Project
at South Tunisia) after having been selected by ETAP’s high management for a key position in the
project organisation.
Petrofac is ETAP’s
