• Method development to produce high quality activated carbons via enhancing surface area and pore size.
Scaled up the process and tested the efficiency of the activated carbon.
• The surface area was increased three times using a green industrial process.
• Tested activated carbon capability to adsorb pollutants including poly aromatic hydrocarbons
(PAH), and pesticides using GC-MS, and heavy metals using ICP-MS, from water samples.
• Periodic mesoporous organosilica (PMO) as a catalyst to stabilize a carbocation intermediate project.
