Develop new applications to current Qatar Development Bank's financial products; work on developing sector financing policies in education, health and tourism, develop recommendations to current bottlenecks and low demand on bank's products, improve the eco-system for private sector in Qatar, create new avenues for QDB to invest in

• Take a lead role in the process of developing, improving, and strengthening the relations between the Bank and the private sector in Egypt;
• Contribute effectively to the identification of private sector needs and how the Bank can provide assistance in their fulfillment;
• Assist the Private Sector Department in making contacts with individual project sponsors and co-financiers.
• Collect information/data on economic, financial, technical and commercial aspects of identified projects; prepare and appraise projects/programs.
• Assist the borrowers in the fulfillment of conditions precedent to the effectiveness of Loan Agreements, and in understanding disbursement procedures and specific applications.
• Participate in private sector related seminars;
• Ensure the elaboration of progress and audit reports according to the Bank requirements;
• Supervise selected projects in consultation with the Private Sector Department.
• Collect and transmit relevant economic and financial-sector information, including national statistics and documents on the Country to the Headquarters;
• Contribute effectively to the preparation of economic and financial reports including Country Strategy Papers (CSPs); participate in the review of the public and private investment program, as well as in the preparation of Country Review missions;
• Advise and maintain sustained policy dialogue with the Government, private sector and local civil society;

• Develop and execute a marketing plan geared to selling IMC/UNIDO technical services to industrial local community in Borg El-Arab (BEA) Industrial Zone
• Conduct events (workshops, conferences, seminars, etc.) as necessary to promote dialogue among policymakers, private sector and civil society
• Asses technical needs on both individual enterprise and sector level, develop terms of reference and prepare proposals
• Develop and deliver general technical advice to the local industrial business community;
• Manage any subcontracted activities (prepare TOR, monitor assignments, and assess impact);
• Keep updated with respect to technical solutions for SMEs i.e. best practices;
• Monitor intervention impact and ensure customer satisfaction;
• Provide on-job-training for clients and coach technical staff;
• Write pre-assessment and validation reports for enterprises interested in joining the programme;
• Write Terms of References in different topics for different enterprises;
• Pre-audit companies for ISO 9001:2000 compliance.
• Design and implementation of e-projects, introduction of ICT solutions in businesses and SMEs
• Design and implementation of different technical assistance projects i.e. warehouse management, enterprise Resource planning, Human resource management, costing projects, etc.

• Collect and collate data concerning the needs for environmentally sound technologies (ESTs) in selected production activities in the ESCWA member countries;
• Management training of research projects, partnership with international research institutions
• Collect and collate data concerning efforts in research, and development and implementation of ESTs in selected production activities in the ESCWA member countries;
• Monitor the development and implementation of ESTs in selected ESCWA member countries;
• Undertake research on the evaluation of ESTs with particular reference to the ESCWA member countries;
• Research management, research monitoring and evaluation
• Provide technical backstopping, coordinate activities and establish contacts with private and public bodies concerned with implementation of ESTs in the ESCWA member countries;
• Assist in preparing recommendations for national polices concerning the transfer, development, assessment and implementation of ESTs;
• Organisation of public awareness campaigns on national/international research funding opportunities
• Contribute to study on water treatment and desalination in ESCWA member countries.
• Work with the Egyptian and Arab Scientific Research and Innovation system in ESCWA countries while preparing the Directory for Science and Technology for ESCWA member states

MISSIONS UNDERTAKEN DURING ASSIGNMENT:
- Missions to selected metal finishing firms and environmental organizations in ESCWA Member Countries: (Cairo) Egypt, (Damascus) Syria, and (Amman) Jordan.

• Elaboration and formulation of projects to be executed by UNIDO;
• Maintain a yearly estimation of office budget and prepare monthly statements of expenditure;
• Establish detailed requirements for equipment and arrange its purchase and control;
• Preparation of the industrial background papers for UNIDO country programme;
• Technical appraisal and evaluation of UNIDO projects and programmes;
• Providing technical advisory services to prospective investors on industrial investment projects/promotion.
• Assisting local manufacturing industries in areas of industrial planning, restructing and rehabilitation.
• Review/appraise requests for assistance received from individuals and corporate organizations and recommend to UNIDO Headquarters.
• Follow up with Government/corporate organizations on UNIDO projects/programme and advise UNIDO Headquarters accordingly.
• Perform administrative and personnel functions, including recruitment, orientation, training and supervision of support personnel;
• Organisation of public awareness campaigns on national/international funding opportunities
• Work as a Certifying Officer while UNIDO Field representative on missions ensuring appropriateness of expenditures within approved budget lines;
• Manage Montreal Protocol Projects in Nigeria implemented by UNIDO
• Represent UNIDO for gender related meetings.
