• Financial Management & Business development: Heading the DUHS healthcare services financial operations and financial decision-making, prepare budgets, establishing policy, controlling margins, Profitability and making decisions about DUHS Healthcare assets and resources. Leading costing & pricing department and establishing pricing strategies. Development and implementation of financial strategies to improve the business performance of the DUHS Healthcare. Participating in procurement and Supply chain process as a member of procurement committees.
• Management: Meeting with Healthcare Services stakeholders to discuss operations and future goals. Ensuring high levels of ongoing patient care. Coordinating department operations so that each department works well independently, and as a facet of holistic operations.
Manage overall Finance and administrative activities of healthcare (500 bed hospital, Radiology department, Dow LABs & dental hospital). Playing a key role in overall business development & management of DUHS. Reporting to Vice chancellor on commercial, financial & administrative activities. Connecting with hospital department leaders regularly to ensure consistent operations and gauge their need for any further resources.
•Financial Management & Business development: Heading the DUHS healthcare services financial operations and financial decision-making, prepare budgets, establishing policy, controlling margins and making decisions about DUHS Healthcare assets and resources. Development and implementation of financial strategies to improve the business performance of the DUHS Healthcare. Participating in procurement process as a member of procurement committees.
•Management: Meeting with Healthcare Services stakeholders to discuss operations and future goals. Ensuring high levels of ongoing patient care. Coordinating department operations so that each department works well independently, and as a facet of holistic operations.
Manage Finance Department of Rail & Road Segment and reporting to CEO and executive members. Conduct financial Analysis and present financial performance monthly. Formulate commercial business annual budget plans and monthly forecast schedules.
•Improved Strategic planning and accountability, uncovered performance issue with major business segments to restore year-end margin to budgeted performance. Architect suit of reports with year-to-date and monthly, bottom-up forecast of financial data at granular level originated from business.
•Prepare budgets, compilation of annual financial budget and quarterly forecasts. Costing & pricing of the bonded, non-bonded cargo, prepare financial models & feasibilities of the projects.
•Liaise with banks and arrange financial facilities for the company at most competitive rates. Keep abreast of all changes in tax law, company law and other relevant laws such as E.O.B.I. law, Social Security law, and Sales tax law. Filling all monthly, quarterly and annual Tax returns in time. Finalize income tax assessments of the company in the most prudent manner. Preparing responses with supporting documents against all notices of Tax monitoring and Audit from SRB, PRA, KPRA and FBR.
•Attend board of Directors meeting and adopt resolutions as and when required. Liaise with other group of companies as and when required in matters of common interest. Follow up of the customers and arrange early recovery of receivables. Arrange audit of books of accounts and removes anomalies if any. Prepare monthly cash-flow with the help of all concerned departments and arrange to bridge the gap between its inflows and outflows.
Managing the Finance Department of Retail division & Construction division. Maintaining relationships with the Commercial and Operational Managers, understanding key business activities and offering support when required. Prepare monthly management accounts for the company and review of the same with the Group Finance team and Commercial Manager
•Develop accounting and management policies and procedures in consultation with the Group Finance and the Commercial Manager. Co-ordination with banks for arrangement of funds and other bank facilities (Letter of Credit, Guarantees, and Trust Receipts and Overdraft facilities. Projects ROI, product margins, and other financial & business models, evaluations, and reports analysis to appropriate business departments. Monitor stock levels and perform inventory reconciliations.
Audit planning, supervision and detail review of internal controls. Conducting business and audit risk assessment through client meeting, research and analysis and cumulative audit knowledge and documenting the results thereof. Ensuring compliance with the requirements of ISA, IFRS and other statutory requirements of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) and the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), as applicable.
•Application of IFRS, Technical Standards and Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP). Assessing risks and internal controls by identifying areas of non-compliance; evaluating manual and automated financial processes; identifying process weaknesses and inefficiencies. Coordination with professionals in various fields like legal, actuarial and IT experts. Assisting client with the preparation and presentation of financial statements including significant financial statement disclosures, in the light of the relevant reporting framework and ensuring compliance with all applicable reporting requirements;
