Systems Engineer Experience in Multiplatform Unix and Linux environments, with hands-on expertise in Install, configure, integrate, maintain, and secure managed systems and at client sites. Deliver and support highly available systems SLA, to ensure system management architectures comply with provisioned policies to perform monitoring and event handling services.
KEY ACTIVITIES
System Administrator
• Executes Troubleshooting methodology and root-cause analysis to resolve complex and advanced level problems.
• Adheres to the agreed event management notification and escalation procedures.
• Performs problem management activities to minimize the adverse impact of faults and problems on the business caused by errors within the systems and to prevent recurrence of faults related to these errors.
• Leads availability management activities to optimize maintenance and design measures that meet contracted SLA’s.
• Prepares and executes systems maintenance plans to proactively manage reliability and service expectations.
• Responsible for auditing, upgrading, and managing OS’s on all production systems and components.
• Performs periodic reviews of Configuration Items (CIs) to ensure compliance with policies and standards. Perform thorough operational readiness activities.
• Identifies and follows best practices in performance tuning and optimization to identify and eliminate performance bottlenecks.
• Prepares and maintains technical documentation to assist with the on-going operation, maintenance, and development of the enterprise services.
End User Services
• Applies ITIL framework, closes Problem records within defined timeline threshold to minimize impact on client / outage.
• Acts as a Tier II/III focal point to resolve all break/fix and service degradation issues.
• Provides timely and frequent technical updates to customers, delivery and capability management.
• Understands and supports provisioned SLA services, this includes meeting response, resolution, reporting, and RCA timelines.

• Midrange storage systems (EMC CLARiiON/VNX, HP EVA 3PAR), high-end solutions (EMC VMAX/DMX or HP XP),
• NaviSphere/UniSphere and command management (Agets, Analyzer, Alerting)
• Fabric management (CISCO and Brocade), ISL, Core-Edge, Access Gateway,
• Configuration; RAID groups, LUNs, snapshots, replication; local and remote,

UNIX Services:
• Instillation and administration of UNIX OS (Sun Solaris, Red Hat Linux, HP-UX),
• Administration experience in clustering (Sun Cluster, Red Hat Cluster, HP service guard),
• Software and patch administrations, SAN configuration/integration
• Perform system performance checks, backup and restore from OS image
• Knowledge of Console (HP ILO, HP MP, SUN ILOM/ ALOM/XSCF)
• User and printer configuration, Network, Security & Firewall configuration, ability to develop shell scripts for automation,

•Expert of GPFS (installations and configurations) and its usage for Oracle RAC implementations.

•Exper in Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) Installation, configuration, trouble shooting.
•Monitoring and administrating all Servers, Block and Unifed Storage System and Tape libraries.
•Administration of users and groups.
•Troubleshooting and resolving problems with hardware, AIX, and application software.
•Running the Operation.
•Installing and configuring new IBM Systems Machines and high end IBM Servers (P720, P740, P750) including installing new hardware (servers, storages, SAN Switches…).
•Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
•Knowledge & experience of working with SAN Storage Infrastructures (DS4000, DS4700, V7000).
•Working with SAN Switches, configuration, zoning.
•Ensure the high availability of the servers by installing fixes and patches and trouble shooting.
•Work with development team and install the applications in the servers.
•Managing Oracle Solaris and Oracle Hardware Servers.
