To operate in a manner which focuses on teamwork, consistent quality and standards.
To assist with the training of new employees.
To monitor staff daily, ensuring that staff delivers the highest standards of customer service at all times.
To ensure staff are presentable and adhering to departmental uniform standards at all times.
To ensure that all front of house areas are adequately staffed to ensure customers receive the highest standard of service.
To ensure that all front of house fixtures and fittings are in fully working order and report any problems immediately.
To act as a vital communication link between Senior Food & Beverage Managers/Supervisors and ensure accurate and effective communication with all staff regarding any departmental changes.
To have full knowledge of menu items for example -preparation of dishes, ingredients, cooking methods, allergens etc.
To liaise with the Chefs daily to ensure all menu items are available. JOB VACANCY AND SPECIFICATION. 2
To assist with cash handling.
To assist in the ordering & controlling of stock and ensure date rotation is adhered to.
To recognize and reward staff members when exceptional customer service or work performance is displayed.
Assists in the preparation and updates of the Grand Club Departmental Operations Manual.
Conducts regular communications meetings in the absence of the Assistant Manager - Grand Club
Assists to ensure that all Grand Club employees deliver the brand promise and provide exceptional guest service at all times.
Ensures that all Grand Club employees are aware of current promotions, policies and other important information and ensures they are familiar with the hotel’s products and services.
Assists to ensure the punctuality and appearance of all Grand Club employees, making sure that they wear the correct uniform and maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene, according to the hotel and department’s grooming standards.
Plans and implements effective training programs for all Grand Club employees in coordination with the Training Manager and Departmental Trainers.

Write patrons' food orders on order slips, memorize orders, or enter orders into computers for transmittal to kitchen staff.
Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes.
Take orders from patrons for food or beverages.
Check patrons' identification to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages.
Serve food or beverages to patrons, and prepare or serve specialty dishes at tables as required.
Present menus to patrons and answer questions about menu items, making recommendations upon request.
Clean tables or counters after patrons have finished dining.
Prepare hot, cold, and mixed drinks for patrons, and chill bottles of wine.
Roll silverware, set up food stations or set up dining areas to prepare for the next shift or for large parties.
Inform customers of daily specials.
Stock service areas with supplies such as coffee, food, tableware, and linens.
Explain how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods.
Prepare tables for meals, including setting up items such as linens, silverware, and glassware.
Remove dishes and glasses from tables or counters, take them to kitchen for cleaning.
Assist host or hostess by answering phones to take reservations or to-go orders, and by greeting, seating, and thanking guests.
Perform cleaning duties, such as sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming carpet, tidying up server station, taking out trash, or checking and cleaning bathroom.
Bring wine selections to tables with appropriate glasses, and pour the wines for customers.
Perform food preparation duties such as preparing salads, appetizers, and cold dishes, portioning desserts, and brewing coffee.
Escort customers to their tables.
Garnish and decorate dishes in preparation for serving.
Fill salt, pepper, sugar, cream, condiment, and napkin containers.
Describe and recommend wines to customers.
Provide guests with information about local areas, including giving directions.
