Scope of Works of GTC 158 Project includes Detailed design of pipeline - 80 kms, Construction of pipelines and associated chambers & civil works, DI PIPES 1600 mm dia - 75 kms & 900mm & 600mm dia - 5 kms, Hydraulic analysis (20 Main and Emergency Scenarios) & Surge analysis, Connection to existing system and Laying of fibre optic cable.

Project Brif Design and construction of sewage treatment works initially built to a design capacity of 135.000m3/day and expanded to 175.500m3/day. Contractor is required to operate and maintain the same for ten years. The design for extension 3 was required to make provision for 2050 flows of 175500m3/day.

The project aims to provide a permanent solution to the drainage problems in Al Kheesa, in addition to providing an integrated infrastructure, roads, and facilities.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage geotechnical investigation activities for an underground tunnel construction.
• Undertake planning activities for different tunnel stages.
• Implement pipe jacking as a trenchless technology method for installing a prefabricated pipe through the ground from a drive shaft to the reception shaft.
• Supervise site mobilization activities; site fencing, site offices, workshops and labour accommodation.
• Conduct daily brifing with site team leader to solve site technical problems, discuses sitework progress.
• Manage QA/QC including; procedure drafting, inspection, reporting, NCRs
• Review designs/provide constructability review for projects .
• Conduct design reviews for the sewage treatment plant, pipe line, local service roads and water reservoirs.
• Preparing as built/shop drawings.
The project scope included the EPIC and testing of a water potable transmission system to distribute the water produced by the Ras Laffan Power Company to existing reservoirs in the district with all associated control and monitoring systems.
