- Performing protection design for the new transmission line projects, in different voltage
level (500KV, 220KV, 110KV, 33KV).

- Prepare and perform plans of commissioning and maintenance of MV, HV and EHV
substations (500KV, 220KV, 110KV, 33KV) employing various protection schemes.

- Setting calculation for the new and existing substation.

- Testing and commissioning of power station and substation equipments, Power
transformers, CBs, CTs, VTs, and control circuits.

- Testing and commissioning of protection schemes and protective relays (ABB, AREVA,
SCHENIDER SIEMENSE, ALSTOM, NARI).
- Configuration and setting of protective relays (ABB, AREVA, SCHENIDER SIEMENSE,
ALSTOM, NARI), and wide knowledge of their software tools (CAP540, PCM, Micom
studio, deggsi ...etc.)

- Over current protection coordination studies using ETAP.

- Fault analysis using fault recorder, and troubleshooting faults and protection performance.

- Performing preventive annual maintenance program.

- Participate in the discussion and follow up with relay manufactures for all the problems experienced in their relays.

- Make engineering calculations in the connection with field and office.

- Perform Load flow analysis and fault calculations.

- Troubleshooting & fault analysis.
- Preparation of the setting calculation and coordination between different Protective
Relays in different substation; worked on adaptations and reinforcement of the network
extension.
- Functional verification of protection scheme designs.
- Testing and commissioning of all Electrical equipment from 33KV to 11 KV System.
- Testing of power transformers, CTs and VTs.
- Testing of protective relays that existing in sub Stations of the national grid including
Over Current and Earth fault Protective relays, Differential Protective relay, Restricted
Earth fault relay.
