Responsibilities:
• Participate in the planning, organization and coordination of Mental Health activities, in close collaboration with the Medical activity manager and other medical team members, in order to ensure an efficient and effective implementation of the resources needed while maintaining high levels of quality in Mental Health MSF programs and activities.
• Coordinates activities of counselling services with other relevant actors and liaises with the local counterparts (like MoH, on mental health matters, including referral services.
• Supervise the daily mental health activities and patient support according to MSF protocols and standards in order to provide the most appropriate support for clients with psycho social needs
• Liaise with the other MSF team members of the project.
• Supervise, in close coordination with the HR department, the associated processes (recruitment, training/induction, evaluation, potential detection, development and communication) of the staff under his/her responsibility in order to ensure both the sizing and the amount of knowledge required
• Oversee the administrative processes associated with psychosocial functioning.
• When needed, give psychological support to patients according to MSF/MOH protocols to improve mental health conditions of patients and enhance their functionality.
• Compile the data linked with MH activities and report to the Medical activity manager
• Offer clinical counselling supervision to mental health counsellors in collaboration with the Medical Activity Manager.
: I am currently doing these tasks on daily bases:
• Applying clinical assessment (Interviews, observations, medical record, family reports, and mental state examination.
• Applying the right psychological tests (Personality tests e.g. MMPI, Beck for Depression extra)
• Providing a wide range of Psychotherapy e.g. Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Psychoanalysis, extra.
• Providing TF-CBT for children and their parents/caregivers.
• Conducting defusing sessions (Emotional first Aid) for traumatizing staff and their families.
• Compiling/ writing the all activities reports (weekly, fortnightly monthly, semiannual and annual).
I was working as a Psychologist/counselor to accomplish the following:
Counseling:
• Assist in Counseling of HIV infected or affected clients at ART supported sites and outreach activities to include counseling and testing, adherence counseling and psychosocial support counseling.
• Mental health assessment and evaluation.
• Conducted workshop training for PLWHA and their families covered (Treatment adherence, overcome anxiety, depression, negative coping, mitigate the impact of discrimination, stigma, and prejudice.
• Provided psycho-therapy sessions (behavior therapy, CBT, and psychoanalysis) for Addicted people.
• Support and assist client in behavioral change.
• Reporting and Strategic Work planning:
Prepare a monthly work plan detailing proposed objectives, activities and costs for HIV Counseling at ART supported facilities adhering to overall programme budgets and Strategic Work plan.
Prepare monthly reports on the implementation of the ART HIV Counseling programme and submit and discuss this with the Clinical Adviser.

• Coordinated with other UN agencies (WHO, UNFPA, UNICEF, and UNHCR) and PLWHA gained support from them.
• Attending meeting, coordinating with all UN agencies, NGOs working in the field of Health, social work or Psychology.
• I participated in research on stigma index amongst PLWHA in Sudan in 2011.
• Collaboratively with MoH I conducted HIV campaign in Nyala prison.
• I write the all activities reports.
I served as a trainer as well as psycho- counselor and carried out the following:
• I participated in providing defusing (psychological support) for 150 humanitarian Aid worker who exposed to traumatic events or critical incident (car jacking, looting, threaten, torture) across major Darfur so I used to travel to west and north Darfur.
• I participated in training 480 Humanitarian aid workers in Critical Incident Stress Management.
• I dealt with people who have coped negatively with stress(being addicted or conducted recklessness behavior)
• I assisted in managing psycho-social project.
• I have served as deputy director of defusing network under umbrella of Redr.
I’m a governmental employee working for Sudan National AIDS Control Program in South Darfur-Nyala city, during my assignment I implemented the following:
• I participated in designing banners and IEC materials regarding to AIDS issues.
• I organized with my team and celebrated World AIDS Day three times, in 2005, 2006 and 2007.
• Through Nyala radio and TV I participated in conducting series of awareness session.
• I contributed in conducting HIV campaign inside Nyala and outside; Kass, Eldeen and Ed Elfirsan.
• I participated in supply and distributing IEC materials.
• I served as facilitator for training my staff in inter-personal communication.
• I participated in establishing voluntary Counseling and testing centre in Nyala prison in 2007.
• I contributed in conducting two sessions awareness targeted female inmates in Nyala jail.
• I served as senior Psychologist with RHF (an NGOs working in IDPs camps surrounding Nyala and inside the town);
• I participated in research on mental health applied in April 2005 for Kalma IDPs camp, (the study was about posttraumatic stress disorder amongst IDPs).
• I contributed in conducting workshop training on mental health and human rights for corrections officers in Nyala prison in May 2005.
• I was providing technical guidance to the Psychologists.
• I facilitated in training the staff in clinical Psychology.
• Compile and write all activities reports.
This is a medical institution run by police and linked with Kobar prison and all patients were committed crime. I had theoretical and practical Training in Psychology particularly in criminal psychology. Later on I worked as Volunteer for more than 3 years doing the following tasks:
• Implement Psychological Tests for mental Health patients.
Diagnose Psychological illness.
• Carried out individual and group therapy.
• Implemented family therapy (including co. patients).
• I used to made advice to improve the general condition of Kobar Sanatorium in terms of human rights.
• I participate in training the correction officers on human rights issues so as to make improving in the Sanatorium.
• I was a part of Medical Team dealing with Psychotic patients in Kobar prison in Khartoum North.
This is a military institution, where I served my National Military Services as Social worker; during my assignment I accomplished the following:
• I used to provide psychosocial support for military personnel and their families.
• I participated as facilitator in ethnic dilemmas workshop for military personnel.
• Counsel family violence.
• I used to deal with substance abuse problems
