• • Business Responsibility:
o Take responsibility for delivering the Business plan / Service Level Agreements (SLA)
• Warehouse Management; Stock control:
o Designing Storage facility and inbound process as per Brand’s expectation.
o Perpetual Inventory and reconciliation of stock in line with level of Authority
o Tracking daily/weekly/Periodic accuracy and publishing audit results that guides operations on improving their performance
• Employee Management:
o Interviewing / Hiring / Planning / Assigning & directing work / Appraising performance / Rewarding & disciplining / Addressing complaints & resolving problems / Handling & resolving employee issues
o Ensuring that team members work collaboratively in support of cross-training to assist in peak load times and during office absences
• Planning:
o Planning tools set up for the team that helps operations in planning their resources, Shipping team in planning inbound deliveries and controlling demurrages.
• Logistic Support and Reporting:
o Instrumental in setting up the MIS reporting and Help desk team in Logix and then rolling it out to other countries in Middle East.
• Project Management
o Managed/lead different projects within logistics and worked alongside the project team in successfully delivering the projects as per the agreed timeline. Key projects included
o Project Make Over: Designing Storage facility and Standard operating procedures for Bath and Body Works, new brand of Health and Beauty division.
o Project Stroller: Migration of Mother care H&T inventory to 3pl logistics provider (Agility). Designed and agreed the Migration process with Brand, IT and Audit team
o Project Inventory: To provide the storage solution for inventory and updating the system (WMS & KCC) as per physical inventory. Got a Letter of Appreciation from Chief Operating Officer (COO) for successfully delivering the project.
o Manage receiving, picking, packing, and shipping of daily orders.
o Managed a team of 80 people,
o Managed Short term planning, including daily operation issues solving,
o Designed and wrote audit approved cycle inventory procedures.
o Chairing Performance reviews, KPI set up and follow up,
o Saved 10% in packing costs by recycling and using alternative packing materials.
o Reduced breakage 80% by designing new product packaging.
o Successfully improved efficiency and cost effectiveness through minimising picking errors and ensuring accurate stock records.
Responsible for AED 13 million inventories, 20, 000 line items, 100, 000 sq. ft. warehouse.
o Managed receiving, picking, packing, and shipping.
o Designed processes: Inventory management, inbound and outbound process and import/export processes,
o Liaised with other departments (Planning, Sales, Customer Services, Finance …) to implement Best Practices.
o Spearheaded warehouse floor plan using Excel; charged with providing effective space allocation based on SKU activity.
o Coordinated with sales/purchase team and other distribution center to ensure availability of stock and to maintain minimum stock level of fast moving SKU’s.
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management
Bachelors of Commerce in first division. Accountancy, cost accountant, Business Economics, Mercantile & Company law , computers as major subjects
