Responsible for design, implementation, maintenance and repair of the organization's database (ORACLE and SQLSERVER) . The role includes developing and designing the database strategy, monitoring and improving database performance and capacity, and planning for future expansion requirements. Also plan, co-ordinate and implement security measures to safeguard the database. Apart from this implementing a wide array of technologies including replication, HA, DR and partitioning.

Enterprise Setup: Core banking. Branch Automation, Critical Systems like ATM controller, Branch Controller, Branch Servers, Retail Banking, Corporate banking, SMS banking, Credit Card and SWIFT running Oracle databases. Apart from this we have Oracle Compliance Module like Data warehouse, Anti Money Laundering, Business Intelligence, Oracle Data Integrator and Oracle E-Business Suite for HRMS and Financial. We implemented Audit vault, database vault, Data Masking, Transparent Database Encryption. We have IBM Web sphere as middleware running Oracle database. All require a highly skilled DBA.

Environment: Over 80 Mission Critical Production Databases, Oracle 11gR2 and 10g running on Solaris 10, Windows 2003 and Linux.
MSSQL Server 2000, 2005, 2008, 2008R2 and 2012 running on Windows Server 2003, 2008 and 2012.


Responsibilities:
• Experience in an environment supporting multiple database instances and multiple lines of development concurrently.
• Experience in all facets of hands-on database administration.
• New installations of Oracle or SQL Server
• Database monitoring, capacity planning and performance tuning
• Backup and recovery management
• Writing PL/SQL and T-SQL scripts
• Writing Unix Shell Scripts
• Writing Windows Batch Scripts
• Database replication technologies
• Experience with Linux and Unix operating systems
• Experience with Windows Server family
• Experience with Disaster Recovery/Business Continuance planning and testing

• Auditing On users, Lock Management and space management.
• Monitoring Users, tablespaces, rollback segments and tuning SGA.
• Regularly restoring database from production server to development server for the developers.
• Testing Recovery Strategies by Simulating Database Crashes on Development Systems
• Continuously Monitor the System response time and detect for any bottlenecks along with possible solutions.
• Package and Patch Administration, Adding Patches as per requirement.
• Process implementation for Faster Response & to avoid any Manual errors.
