During that period, the main projects/activities I was involved in are:
• Revamping of control system for Aluminum extrusion press and associated production lines
• Design of control system of greenhouse automation and selection of requested instruments
• Sharing in preparing proposals for different tenders: Fuel Metering systems, loading arms automation systems, flare gas recovery systems, ..etc
• Identifies trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements; tracking individual contributors and their accomplishments.
• Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities.
• Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities; recommending equity investments.
• Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating partners' needs and goals.
• Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.

Recently (on 1st of February 2013) I came to Saudi Arabia (free visa) to look for an opportunity with a reputable engineering company in the field of instrumentation and control system.
Main Tasks:
•Grow market, searching for new partners and achieve annual sales targets
•Continuous market research to identify sales opportunities
•Establishing and maintaining good lines of communication and relationships with customers/ colleagues to provide best support/ service, e.g. customer visits.
•Assist Sales Engineers with their sales strategies to ensure order targets are achieved.
•Ensure Sales Engineers effectively plan their activities and manage customers allocated to them to maximize order opportunities and expand customer base.
•Ensure that the correct products and/or services are offered and delivered on time to the client in cooperation with operation manger
•Assist Proposals/Internal Sales/External Sales with quotations from customer verbal, written or tender enquiries
•The participation in technical and commercial negotiations with customers with regards to price levels, and delivery times etc (as required)
•Manage monthly call plans and forecasts and compile and submit monthly reports.
•Prepare and manage sales presentations
•Be aware of our competitor’s position and general prevailing market conditions.
•Ensure implementation of and compliance with the company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures.
•Attend training course, demonstrations and seminars as required to keep abreast of new product developments.
•Execute any other reasonable request by management pertaining to the above.

The same company I worked for during the period July 2004 - June 2008.
Main activities were: supervise and direct the engineers during all projects phases; proposal preparing, material purchasing, control system (PLC and SCADA) design & programming, supervision on installation until commissioning and start up.

MAIN ACHIEVEMENTS / PROJECTS HANDLED during that period:
1. JANADHRIYA FARM, Riyadh (A Royal Farm):
Programming and commissioning the control system of:
A. R.O plant for Sanitary use - 1200 m3/ day
B. R.O plant for Irrigation - 1500 m3/ day x 2 streams
C. Recovery R.O unit - 1200 m3/ day
2. Saudi Aramco, Khurais:
Programming and commissioning the control system of:
840m3/day sewage treatment plant for Aramco residential complex. The specialty of the plant is OPERATOR FREE PLANT
3. Petrodar (PDOC), Sudan:
Programming and commissioning the control system of:
A. 50m3/day R.O plant
B. 300m3/day R.O plant
C. 1920 m3/day oil separation by Dissolved Air Floatation (DAF) technique
4. SABIC, Khubar:
Control and Instrumentation engineering design for a 8.5 m3/hr salty wastewater treatment
plant. The activities included:
A-System design and documentation:
•Preparation of P&ID,
•Provide loop wiring diagram,
•Provide Instrument and control valves list, data sheet and provide selection,
•Junction boxes selection and wiring diagram
•Provide Hook-up drawing,
• Provide PLC specification and general requirements documents (I/O list, cause and effect diagram, alarm and shut-down points, control logic, ..etc),
•Share in preparation of control philosophy,
B- Evaluation vendor offer, TOC and select seller.
C- Negotiate for best quality and price to meet project requirements.
D- Attending meeting with customer and consultant, to discuss their notes and to gain their satisfaction.
E-Coordinate between the individual departments to avoid waste of time.
F- Collect the project status, progress report and discuss it with project director.

* Make development plans and section marketing plans and
supervise its activities
* Study and analyze the tenders (instrumentation and control
systems), and order follow up to equipment delivery to clients.
* Develop relationship with clients and looking for new suppliers for

programming, supervision on installation, commissioning &
training
Also I worked on the cost reduction study for the lift control system, by finding new competitive suppliers for the items used in system design and maintaining the same quality. The cost reduction was about 20%.
* Study and analyze the tenders (instrumentation and control
systems), follow-up the quotation up to deliver the equipment to
the clients.
* Control system engineering, including: PLC and SCADA system
programming, supervision on installation and commissioning
within the project team.
* Finding new competitive suppliers for the requested items either
from suppliers of the original items or manufacturer of
replacement items
* Conduct preliminary visits to client sites to study his real
requirement
* Conduct technical & commercial meeting with client as requested
Main Tasks:
*Assign responsibility for the supervision and management of the control systems and instrumentation and construction coordination.
*Managing of engineering interfaces, contractors design information and supervision and management of all supply.
*Participating in commissioning of the control systems and instruments for smooth start up and ensure the proper installation and commissioning of the equipment.
Main Responsibilities
• Maintenance of adequate communication links and interfaces
between all disciplines
• Supervise, manage, coordinate and control the activities of
projects
• Manage and coordinate the technical interfaces or clarifications
between disciplines and the supply of equipment
• Ensure compliance with the Technical Specification and
Performance criteria for future installation
• Ensure that adequate inspections and tests are carried out and
the results are properly documented to ensure safe, reliable and
correct operation
• Ensure that satisfactory safety standards and safe working
practices are followed up
• Ensure that appropriate quality standards are implemented and
adhered
• Attend regular progress review meetings to facilitate the
production of regular progress reports.
* Assist institutions to get the ISO 9000 certificate.
* Assist in quality audits to ensure standards, procedures, and
methodologies are being followed
This Company deals in instrumentation and control systems, and it is a representative of several instrumentation manufacturing companies & Modicon AEG for PLC and automation products.
My main duties were the im plementation of PLC based control systems; design and specs. (CPU, power supply, I/O modules), PLC programmIng (using ladder logic language) and supervision on PLC installation. Some projects included also MMI (man machine interface) units.
The main projects implemented under my supervision were: (1992 - 2003)
1- Four Fuel Oil Flowmetering Skids for the Ministry of Oil in Iraq :
Procurement, Installation supervision and commissioning . Design and manufacturing of the skids by ECIS-Italy .
2- Upgrade of a Control System for 2 X 140 T/H superheated steam boilers from pneumatic Control to FF System supplied by SMAR-Brazil . (Daura Refinery -Iraq)
3- Upgrade of a 2000 ton aluminuim extrusion press Control System (400 I/O) at ARAL - Jordan. The project included a complete new enclosure with PLC + MMI.
4- Control system for fuel pumping station at Jordan Petroleum Refinery PLC + MMI Unit . ( Queen Alia Int’l Airport)
5- Protection & monitoring system for elecrical motors in Kerbala Cement plant PLC + MMI Unit - ( Iraq )
6- Automation for two central cement mixing stations for Civil Engineerimg Company, PLC + MMI Unit . (Jordan)
7-Control System for several production lines, tile factories, ready made clothes factories, plastic factories and filling machines based on PLC and HMI systems and motor speed control using variable speed drives.
Also during that period I made many quotations for instrumentation, control system and
other equipment replacement or upgrade for several industrial establishments in several
sectors like:
•Oil Refineries
•Fertilizers and petrochemical industry
•Water and wastewater projects
•Cement factories
•Filling machines
•Plastic industry
•Aluminum extrusion presses
•.. etc
During that period I shared In performing the following tasks :
- Designing of material handling system for stone cutter.
- Preparing a group of promising projects after conducting opportunity study for them.
- Technical analysis for offers concerning introducing tile factory in Jordan
