•Led a team of 8 engineers and managers, challenged and optimized the current operation methods to successfully raise Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) from 56% to 92%.
•Accomplished a 6-month target of Quality, Productivity and Cost in a span of just 1 month.
•Awarded with the ‘Outstanding Performance’ bonus consecutively for 3 months.
•Independently planned the projects. Performed activities such as preparing Gantt charts, case studies, identifying critical success factors, appointing category heads and setting targets.
• Developed excellent communication skills through liaising with the customers, suppliers, various departments and the Japanese consultants while discussing production progress and its scope.
•Independently performed manpower (100 operators) and machine (56 Nos) requirement planning, production versus customer schedule calculations and determining the plant, machine and operator efficiency
•Assisted production manager in planning resources in the New Product Development phase.
•Practised and possess excellent knowledge of various tools such as 5S, Bottle Neck Analysis, PDCA, Poke-Yoke, Root cause Analysis and SMART Goals
•Successfully investigated a major FRP bumper quality issue in the assembly line using the reverse engineering approach.
•Collaborated with the design team and innovated a template fixture design to perform a fitting test of bumpers on arrival well before their introduction to the assembly line thus saving crucial 1500 hours of production time on average per year.
• Led a team of 16 members, as the Team Leader in the technical events.
• Successfully completed a project to design a tractor engine meeting the power requirements and economic feasibility.
• Led a Q&A session about the project with about 200 students.
•Interned during semester breaks to gain hands-on experience on the different types of casting methods used to manufacture valves for petrochemical industries.
•Undertook training from the engineers on methods used to determine internal quality defects such as cracks. Performed investigations to eliminate the probabilities of a reoccurrence.
