Checking USCLS and ICD 10 Codes used to ensure proper treatment and billing of all detailed procedures
Responsible for submission, Resubmission and Re-resubmission of claims.
Checking insurance card number and emirates ID, ensuring claims are billed correctly under the patient’s respective insurance company.
Confirm insurance coverage with insurance companies by diagnostic and procedural codes.
Assign and sequence all coder for services rendered.
Conduct audits and coding reviews to ensure all documentation is correct and accurate.
Ensures to reduce rejections and get the claim paid at the initial submission or re-submission of claims.
Respond to queries from the reception/doctor’s clinic regarding insurance coverage.
Ensure knowledge on deductibles, co-payments, co-insurance amounts, insurance exclusions and other policies of Insurance.
Reviews the claim to make sure they’re correct, prior to submitting for reimbursement.
Maintaining patient confidentiality and information security.
Review medical record documentation and accurately code the primary/secondary diagnoses and procedures using ICD-10-CM, CPT coding.
Sequence the diagnoses and procedures using coding guidelines.
Ensure that the codes match the doctor's diagnosis and procedure done.
Maintain the understanding of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, disease process and surgical techniques through participation in continuing education programs to effectively apply ICD-10-CM and CPT.
Confirm insurance coverage with insurance companies by diagnostic and procedural codes.
Ensure knowledge on deductibles, co-payments, co-insurance amounts, insurance exclusions and other policies of Insurance.
Process Insurance payments to patient accounts in computerized system.
Maintaining patient confidentiality and information security.
Be actively involved in the quality improvement activities within the Department.
Processing 150 outpatient claims per day.
