Traveled to Germany and Lebanon in June and July 2017 to counsel Iraqi and Syrian
refugees who fled ISIS captivity. Combined trauma informed and girl’s empowerment curriculum to
counsel individual and group sessions in Arabic. Interpreted for English only counselors, co-facilitate
meditation, and led group activities. Counseling Iraqi refugees in Germany twice a month via Skype as
a part of the Tech over Trauma program where trauma informed counseling is provided.
Supporting special education and general education students in individual and group counseling
sessions to set appropriate academic or personal goals and help them take the necessary steps to
achieve them at Simon Technology Academy School. Conducting classroom observations and testing
students with the following assessments: CAS, WRAML-2, TAPS-3 CTOPP-3, VMI-6, BASC-2, ABAS-
3, EDT, and CONNORS-3. Analysis of assessments and data. Conducting and presenting at IEP
meetings by providing introductions, purpose of the meeting, parental safeguards, observations, test
results, and eligibility. Providing intervention for students at risk for suicide and child abuse cases.
Planned Mental Health Awareness month (May) presentations for parents, staff, and students.
Presented Sexual Harassment and First Guide to College Presentation (Tier 1). Implemented Quiet
Time Meditation block for students in the morning and after lunch. Trained staff on how to facilitate quiet
time. Taught Mindfulness and Meditation class during the summer for incoming freshmen students.

Youth, Trauma Focused Counseling, Functional Behavioral Analysis, De-Escalation, and
Anxiety/Depression Workshops
Facilitated seven week social skills groups at Holder Elementary School in the
areas of impulse control, study skills, anger management, and inattentive behaviors.
Collaborated with school psychologist, teachers, parents, and administrator (the IEP
team) regarding students’ success in school. Conducted classroom observations,
administered tests including: KABC-2, VMI-6, CTOPP-3, MVPT-3, TVPS-3, WRAML-2,
ABAS-2, ADOS-2, BASC-2, and CONNERS-3. Typed psycho-educational reports and
analyzed the data. Reported observations and test results at IEP meetings. Interpreted
speech and language assessments and KABC-2 subtests for Arabic speaking students.
Training: California Education Code Revisions for Eligibility.
Worked with students in individual counseling sessions to set appropriate academic or
personal goals and help them take the necessary steps to achieve them at Cypress High School.
Conducted classroom observations and tested students with the following assessments: KABC-2,
WASI-II, WISC-IV, WJ-III ACH, CTOPP-3, WRAML-2, VMI-6, BASC-2, and CONNORS-3. Typed
psycho-educational reports and analyzed the data. Conducted IEP meetings by providing
introductions, purpose of the meeting, parental safeguards, observations, test results, and eligibility.
Collaborated with school psychologist and teacher in the ED classroom for group counseling sessions.
Assisted ESL student by translating classwork material from Arabic to English.
Trainings: Solution Focused Therapy ED workshop, BCBA, Seizures, Social Work Training:
Confidentiality, and Trauma Therapy.
Practicum Student
Supported school psychologists at Sweetwater and Montgomery High school by conducting
observations, attending SST and IEP meetings, writing reports, and administering tests such as: WJ III
COG, CTONI-2, KABC-2, WJ III ACH, TVPS-3, TAPS-3, VMI-6, WRAML-2, VABS-2, BASC-2. In Alta
Vista Academy, created school rules in the classroom and playground through the Positive Behavioral
Support Plan, conducted observations and teacher interviews, attended staff meetings and IEP
meetings.
Practicum Student
Assisted in an eight-week social skills group with the goal of providing tools and
strategies for targeted students to make better choices in school and home life. Tested students
in La Presa Middle and Kempton Elementary with tools that included the KABC-2 and VMI-6.
Provided supervision and support in classroom, playground, and enrichment activities at
preschools throughout the greater San Diego area.
Aided students from K-6th grade with homework, lesson plans, and supervised in an after school
program.
Counseled students at St Simon and St Jude Catholic Elementary School with academic,
behavioral, and social/emotional issues.
Held a six-week social skills group with four other classmates through the use of
the curriculum, Strong Kids. Taught a targeted group of third grade students about how
to self-regulate social-emotional skills.
Practicum Student
Conducted Functional Behavioral Analyses observations in special day (SDC) and general
education classrooms. Attended IEP meetings and shadowed school psychologist while testing.
Worked at CSULB for Introduction Psychology courses. Tasks included: grading homework
and exams, behavioral explanations, administering exams, held office hours, and input grades.
Mentored students in an after school program with homework, enrichment, outside play, math
facts, and utilized classroom management.
