Direct all aspects of operations and facilities, and ensure readiness for self-sustaining success.
• Project Management: Manage all phases of construction and maintenance projects valued at $500K to $39M, including requirements assessment, planning, scheduling, status updates, and on time completion.
• Facilities Management: Oversee and perform construction and maintenance for all facilities and structures.
• Cross-functional Training: Train Afghani Partnering Unit (APU) to facilitate self-sustaining operations and project management techniques across construction, operations and maintenance, facilities management, key control, fire prevention and safety, and designs and drawings related to current and future projects.
• Acquisition & Procurement Training: Train APU in the utilization of Afghan government ordering system accessing Interior Ministry of Defense (IMD) and Construction Program Management Department (CPMD).
• Trade Work Training: Provide training and cross-training to 25 personnel in a variety of trades including QA/QC, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical work, power plant generators and waste water treatment plant.
Develop accurate project estimates as a member of the Projects Control team. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to complete a variety of tasks for the US military.
• Project Estimates: Perform cost and risk analyses and develop project planning estimates (PPE) for water well pump houses, fire stations, and other facilities projects valued at $25K to $25M.
• Project Support: Support site managers throughout project from final technical evaluation to completion.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with Defense Contract Management Authority (DCMA) and FAR/DFAR regulations.
