• Organization of maintenance of relay protection devices for substations with voltages up to 220 kV. Support the overall management of testing and commissioning activities. Identification, assessment, and adoption of the best technical solution.
• Development, implementation, support, and improving existing and emerging technologies and business processes needed to ensure efficient operation of the Transmission Practice. Close work with key stakeholders to assist in the optimization of a robust project management regime within the Transmission Practice.Development of documentation for relay calculations, testing procedures.
• Investigation and analysis for all faults, performing post event analysis using relay and digital fault recorder event records, ensuring the necessary requirements are met to maintain power and prevent faults from occurring again.
• Technical audit of electric grid enterprises.
• Support of large projects for the organization and development of power supply to large oil fields.
• Organization of training of technical personnel. Development and implementation employee performance and development plans to meet individual development and growth, and overall program goals.
• Organization of maintenance of relay protection devices for HV/MV substations closely with other engineering departments. Responsibility for the complete testing activities of protection relays as identified under specifications and rules of local utilities. Development of test plans and procedures for all relay protection equipment.
• Monitoring and management of project budgets; planning, control and distribution of resources necessary to achieve set goals.
• Development of protective relaying philosophies, including selection of relay, control and communication equipment. Development of design assignments for the construction and reconstruction of substations. Reviewing of project documentations.
• Periodic preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, breakdown maintenance testing of advance protection relays, transformers, HV switchgears, protection panels, electrical interlock and other related services activities.
• Calculation of fault current, relay settings for all substations automatics schemes. Preparation of various vendor protection relay and emergency event recorders configurations files. Development of associated documentation for settings calculation.
• Control of substation protection and automation commissioning.
• Development of all technical documentation for servicing relay protection devices. Preparation of as-build schematic diagrams for substation protection and control systems, one-lines, wiring diagrams and interconnection drawings.
• Investigation and analysis for all faults, performing post event analysis using relay and digital fault recorder event records, ensuring the necessary requirements are met to maintain power and prevent faults from occurring again.
• Training and guidance to lower level employees.
• Periodic preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, configuration and inspection of electromechanical, solid state and microprocessor based relay systems, electrical interlock of HV/MV/LV substations using a variety of complex 1 or 3 phase test equipment. Operation of substation equipment, including switching and grounding. Preparation of reports on completed works.
• Substation protection and automation commissioning.
• Calculation of relay settings for all substations automatics schemes. Preparation of various vendor protection relay and emergency event recorders configurations files and associated documentation.
• Fault investigation and analysis, troubleshooting & repair of electrical control circuits using testing equipment.
• Reviewing of project documentations. Development of all technical documentation for servicing relay protection devices.
