Assisting the chef du partie to helpm out with the job at hand
• Arrange and maintain work area to be always clean neat and ready to be used
• Prepare and put in place all the ingredient for the menu of the day
• Check and regulate the contains in the chiller and refill when need be
• Updates the chillers and freezers temperature at the given time
• Get all the utentils to be used from the stewarding area
• Receive items from delivery and place in their respective place
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
• Ensures that all sanitation rules are observed by the kitchen staff
• Maintained kitchen utensils and equipment
• Checked all items to ensure adequacy and quality
• Assign all stewards to their duty post
• Monitor and perform routine checks to ensure cleanliness in their
respective area of work that the kitchen and surrounding.
• Write daily reports to the hygiene supervisor about duty and other
incidents
• Guard against theft of company property
• Investigate and resolve problems amongst stewards.
• Call for aid if necessary.
• Report rule infractions and violations.
• Ensure total cleanliness of the Restaurant before opening and after
closing hours.
• Remove and reassign stewards to different locations when need arises
