Information Services Department
Conceptualized, founded and run the Change and Configuration Centre. Project managed the automation of all processes pertinent to Vendor/Supplier Management (VM) used as a novel method to optimize IT governance and produce seamless change, smooth cross-operation and collaborative advantage between the firm and its suppliers.
Implemented VM using a Configuration Management system followed by the alternate application of a Delivery and a Problem (Defect) Management system. These three systems were accessed, using Web technology, from a multi-user environment under full security control. Created the above systems in IBM/Rational/ClearQuest and Microsoft environments.
Main achievements:
• Realised 80% staff processing-time reductions and eradication of communication problems.
• Attained time/cost/organizational optimization and company/supplier evaluation.
• Created optimized delivery/problem life-cycles that produced accurate/timely reporting.
• Designed generically the VM systems to implement parts of Project Management and Help Desk activities, as well as to use them for Departmental (other than IT) governance.
Value Added Services (VAS) & Business Innovation Department
Co-ordinated the daily activities of the Department that was treated as a start-up company. Program managed the formation of an Internet Service Provider (ISP) and an Internet Portal. Supervised the implementation of VAS and e-commerce (B2B, B2C, etc.); mobile & Internet.
Main achievements:
• Conceived and marketed the final version of a successful ISP and Portal brand name.
• Doubled the number of ISP subscribers by highlighting certain of its features.
Information Systems & Customer Services Department
Liaison Officer accountable for the communication, co-ordination and relationship building among the IT Department, the rest of the Departments and the external/internal suppliers.
Main achievements:
• Managed several problem (defect) crises and reduced departmental running costs.
• Produced accurate/timely status IT reports for the Heads of the Departments.
Carried out the feasibility studies of projects in the construction and food processing areas.

Overviewed the management of all IT projects, implemented using Natural/Adabas.
Main achievements:
• Re-engineered the Financial & Billing Report Driver and achieved large cost reductions following an eightfold decrease in the initial processing time of the application.

• Achieved savings of over £1.5M by reducing the originally over 22 hours processing time of the Financial & Billing Report Driver application by 50%.
• Project managed the full-documentation of the Sky Subscriber Management System.

Introduced Natural/Adabas to materialise the world-wide IT system migration strategy of the company. Created the Otis Application Security, Finance and Business system.
