Emirates NBD Asset Management is a subsidiary of Emirates NBD operating out of DIFC.

Successfully managed the transition of fund service providers (fund administration and custody) as well as the smooth integration of the business mergers (external and internal). Implemented successfully the Advent suite of systems - APX, MOXY and Tradex. A robust mechanism put in place for KYC client monitoring & reporting. Experience in building and leading a team of competent personnel. Attained a satisfactory audit rating from all external as well as internal auditors.

Effective Dec 2012, I was given the additional responsibility for IT, administration and fund related accounting supervision and consequently managing a team of 9 staff. Complete responsibility for the smooth functioning of front to back investment operations processes of all products.
Work scope increased to support new conventional and sharia compliant products, active involvement with administrators and custodians as well as increase in number of channels servicing. From April 2008, my job involved the broad areas of client, fund and investment administration. Work closely with compliance to ensure adherence to regulations of both DFSA and UAE Central Bank. Administer the staff incentive plan for managers as well as executives. In addition, the current scope of work is subject to the sharia as well as funds audit. Handled the operational activities related to the asset management business mergers in 2007 as well as 2008 as well as supervised the transfer of funds between jurisdictions in 2009. Responsibility for the timely and accurate reporting of operational risk events related to the asset management business from 2009. Job also covered the due diligence of brokers, IFAs, fund & insurance platforms, real estate vendors & contractors as well as AML / KYC monitoring and reporting.
