all controlled surveys, Investigations, also responsible for reviewing the Geometric and
Crust design, setting construction standards for roads alignment. I have been
continuously interacting with the Client. My duties and responsibilities include ensuring
adherence to design standards ensuring quality construction of the project. For this
purpose I had constantly interacted with number of other experts both on roads and
bridge sides. I had been involved all types of road maintenance i.e. emergency, routine,
periodic maintenance. During the tenure I was overall responsible for the entire road
property management, safety management and Toll fee collection, I have good
exposure in junction improvement providing crash barrier and construction of Truck and
Bus Lay byes.

program, develop Quality Assurance System, contract administration, review the
contractors’ Quality management and assist in developing their Quality Assurance
System, inspection of works during execution, materials and enforcing quality and safety,
review and monitor contractors’ resources management, evolve Computer Aided
Progress Monitoring System, monitor physical and financial progress of work, ensure
implementation of Environmental Mitigation Plan, issue Interim Payment Certificates,
evaluation of Contractors’ Claims, settlement of disputes and recommend issue of
variation orders, verify ‘As-Built Drawings’.

Activities performed Responsible for overall project management including planning, scheduling, detailed
engineering design and construction supervision, rehabilitation / re-construction of
pavement (flexible and rigid) interpretation of specifications as per the contract
documents, quality assurance, soil and material testing and investigations at laboratory as
well as on site, contract management and administration, verification of contractor’s bills,
preparation of progress reports and other necessary reports. Works was carried out as
per IRC Specifications and Standards and MORT&H Specifications for Road and Bridge
works.

Activities performed Responsible for overall project management and supervision of construction works
including review and approval of detailed designs and drawings, approval of materials and
materials sources, pavement designs and specifications, monitor both financial and
physical progress of works in terms of cost and time overruns, adherence to strict quality
controls as per the specifications in contract agreement, verification of contractor’s bills
and preparation of monthly progress reports.

Responsibilities included proof checking of the detailed engineering design and
drawings, overall supervision of the physical progress of work using modern Project
Management Techniques viz CPM and PERT to ensure execution of the project with in the
time schedule avoiding time and cost overruns, review and approve contractor’s Work
Programme and methodology, check the contractor’s setting out and quality assurance of
work, assure the quality of laboratory testing of materials and check contractor’s
laboratory, plant and machinery required for timely completion of the work. Also
monitored contractor’s operations and ensured that the mixed material brought to the
site met with specifications requirements. Other responsibilities included verification and
certification of contractor’s interim payments and documentation of all measurements
and testing reports, examine claims of contractor for unforeseen items of work or
additional items of work which might have been assigned by the client and recommend
variation, unit rate analysis, fixing the price of variation. Was also responsible for
preparation of progress and other reports as and when required as per contract
agreement and liaison with the client.
