Currently working in Saipem India as Principal Engineer contributing to FEED activities
Project:
1. Adequacy Checks for Up-Rated Operating Conditions for the MTBE unit for the client Ibn Zahr - Saudi
2. EPC for North field production sustainability offshore & pipelines project - Qatar Gas - Qatar
Responsibilities:
Preparation of the Process Flow Diagrams, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams.
Perform the process simulations and heat and material balances calculations using ASPEN PLUS, HYSYS.
Equipment Sizing-Tanks, Vessels, Separators, and line sizing.
Pump Calculations.
Control valve and PSV sizing.
Preparation of the utility and chemical summary and effluent summary.
Prepare the reports and presentations that communicate status of work.
I was working in AVEVA Engineering R&D in PRO/II development and testing team. Supporting Exxon Mobile, Shell, and Wood group, etc. on process simulation side and customer secondary support activities on process simulation and testing the calculation side of the Process simulation and optimization tool PRO/II.
Developing Process Design Basis, PFD’s, Heat and Material Balance, Process Equipment Data Sheets, Utility and Effluent summaries, Process Description for the facilities, line sizing & pump hydraulics etc.
Preparing material selection guide, equipment sizing, nozzle sizing spread sheets and design summary cases for the process facilities.
•Worked on Refinery Technologies- CCR
PLATFORMING, BTFRAC, SULFOLANE process.
•Catalyst Coke formation and age calculation and Flow
meter correction calculation.
•Designing the columns and performed hydraulics
calculations for various refinery and
petrochemical operations using ASPEN PLUS, HYSYS,
and UNISIM.
•Developed Process UOP Technology models on
UniSim software and validate the model with plant
data.
•Developed Process Technologies and Preparing PFD’S
and P&ID’s.
Developed process design and equipment sizing for solvent recovery plants, fatty acid splitting, and biodiesel purification, solvent recovery from naphtha in petrochemical plants and developed process technologies for solvent recovery systems and separation facilities.
Worked closely with R&D team to validate the simulation results with experimental results for fine-tuning the designs.
Established complete Heat and Material Balance tables for entire process facilities using ASPEN PLUS, HYSYS Software.
Developed Process design (TEG dehydration, Solvent recovery, amine sweetening, biodiesel purification, fatty acid splitting) process deliverables including sizing, calculations, data sheets, specifications and scope of work.
Conducted reactions on pilot plant setup at IIT Bombay laboratory.
Collect the samples and conducted GC analysis.
Start up and shut down the activity on pilot plant to conduct the reaction.
Prepared mass balance tables for the reactor setup.
