•Sourcing women’s wear and accessories for my small enterprise.
•Establishing new customers and maintaining relationships.

•Managing the compliance of product importation to statutory instruments and regulations such as licenses, safety precautions, customs duty rates, shipping agency fees and VAT regulations.
•Establishing new contacts with suppliers and ensure viability and expansion of supplier portfolio.
•Keep abreast of changing tariffs and other charges relating to suppliers, transporters and does cost evaluations/ comparisons for importing products from deep sea or South Africa versus purchasing locally.
•Limit pilferage/ losses to zero tolerance level.
•Supervising stock take and preparing Purchasing budget.
•Supplier evaluation and assessment as well as monitoring stock levels and lead times.
•Negotiating for discounts and favorable payment terms from suppliers.
•Procurement of stock within prescribed budget.
•Use of Inventory Procurement Management System and application system, AS400.
•Liaising with finance department to ensure supplier payments are done timeously.
•Making use of daily reports i.e. Out of Stocks, Service levels, Daily Sales, Sales by Customer etc for improved performance.
•Carrying out informal and formal tenders.
•Raising requisitions for the procurement department and generating orders.
•Liaising with user departments e.g. Stores, information & technology, marketing and planning & design.
•Making use of stock control methods such as Just In Time purchasing \[J.I.T\]
•Carrying out local and foreign buying, Involvement with logistics planning.
•Seeking quotations from suppliers.
Completed certificate,advanced certificate and level 6 graduate diploma in Purchasing and Supply.
