Heading Operations of one major product line which contributes more than 50% of business value, with a target business growth of 25%. Aligning the long term strategies with tactical and operational strategies, implement them throughout operations also upgrading the technology system to optimize the existing processes.
Also leading the overall plant continual improvement activities as KPO. Analysing existing systems and processes, identifying the improvement areas, then plan and conduct Kaizen events.
Responsibilities -
1. Heading the overall manufacturing activities on one major business line - improve on smooth flow of work with a focus on SQDCP.
2. Drive the lean methodology in the plant, identify gap areas, plan and execute the actions to fill those gaps.
3. On time deliveries - ensure the adherence to monthly plan and Exceed the customer delivery targets.
4. Continual Improvement (Focused Improvement) - identify the gaps based of GD, VSM then plan and conduct Kaizen events to fill those gaps.
5. Leadership development - To improve on lean maturity matrix & team skill level, conducting regular trainings on Lean & Lean Tools, problem solving tools etc.
6. Maintain and improve on positive and healthy culture within the team to get the better results..
Completed the three months Six Sigma Master Black Belt course& got certification, through IACT Global. The main contents are strategic planning & it’s alignment with tactical & operational plans, Projects Identification, selection & their prioritization, Org Dynamics & Org internal challenges, Trainings, leadership styles, motivation etc.
Completed ISO 9001-2015 Lead Auditor certification course through SGS Academy Gurgaon.
Completed ZED Consultant certification from QCI
Completed Seven Projects with four different organizations, which includes three IATF 16949 Transition Projects, Lean & foundational tools awareness, QMS Implementation as per HMSI requirements etc
Conducted multiple training sessions on topics like Problem Solving Tools, SPC, 5S, Kaizen, Continual Improvements, PFMEA, IATF 16949, Lean Manufacturing etc, .
Headed all plants continual improvement activities, with a focus on Operational Excellence, which includes Lean awareness & implementation of foundational tools to make a smooth flow of supplies with a purpose to achieve delivery targets, Initiate other improvement projects like cost saving projects of process improvements by low cost automation, quality & system improvements, External & Internal Quality Improvements, customer & third party audits and gap analysis, Training’s ( Core Tools, QMS, Problem Solving Tools, Lean Mgt etc), Team Building, Kaizens, Visual Controls, Waste Controls etc.
Headed Process Engineering Design & Development Deptt. of Export Units of LPS which includes department objectives, Leading CFT for APQP activities, Quality Improvement & cost reduction projects, Customer interaction to resolve all technical issues, Techno commercial Feasibility study, Technical support for Business Development, Costing, Trainings, Team Building, Technical support for Operation Excellence, Customer Complaints etc.
Headed the plant Manufacturing Engineering activities like feasibility, costing, customer interaction, APQP, process/tool design concepts & approval, process optimization, Tooling Mgt, cost reduction, Kaizen, TPM activities, Change management etc. Initiate the improvement projects like Automation, Process Improvements, quality and system improvements, External & Internal Quality Improvements, customer and third party audits and gap analysis.
SFL Rudrapur unit was a new project & I was heading Design & Development activities along with Tooling Management & Vendor Development activities. As a core team member I worked from starting of project to till establishment &Continuously exceeded the departmental stretch targets, developed 25 % more parts than target & in tooling management & Vendor development also achieved 20% cost reduction than target. Team building, managing tool room & vendor development activities in remote area was major challenge.
Commenced Career - Key Deliverables - Production & Engineering Management
• Spearheaded efforts across handled entire spectrum of functions pertaining to production & thereby ensured strict adherence to the time schedule, quality standards and productivity.
• Prepared/Modified SOP's & WI for production operations, monthly production reports, their comparison & gap analysis.
• Streamlined new process concepts for optimization, yield improvement and adopted new cost reduction techniques.
