In this capacity, I evaluate financial reports, such as income statements, cash flow statements and balance sheets, and determine how a company’s finances will impact business operations. I also facilitate decision making by finance and operations personnel or investors by presenting data analysis and interpretation in clear, compelling ways
Additionally, I make recommendations for action by synthesizing financial information and trends. I also keep financial data secure, and document activity and procedures for future reference
With exceptional financial skills, I interpret the company's financial results to management and recommend improvement activities. Identifying, investigating, and analysing potential operational improvement. I prepare fund-raising strategies for obtaining funds for working capital, project requirement and organisational requirements from banks/ financial institutions. I also mange FOREX including hedging, forward booking, buyers credit etc. and generate significant savings
As a Gen. Manager -Finance & Accounts, I commenced funding for Nextbrick’s MFI-subdivion (Microfinance Institution, MFI was another diversification) and provided assistance on developing internal control system as backbone of business. I also interpreted the company's financial results to management and recommended improvement activities. In addition, I identified, investigated, and analysed potential operational improvement
I analysed financial performance against key business metrics and documented pertinent financial highlights that will enable management to determine progress against budgets. While displaying excellent finance management skills, I analysed revenue and expenditure trends and recommended appropriate budget levels and ensures expenditure controls. I was also involved in activities entailing International Trade Management, includes LC‘s documentation, SBLC, etc
Over the years, I was entrusted with the funds raising activities for different projects, e.g mining business in Africa, Software Business, MFI, and Local trading of Metals and Business
During my stint, I was entrusted with the accountability to form strategy for revival of a sick Industrial Unit, and successfully turned in to profitability, dealt with statutory institution BIFR, bank and FI’s, involved in negotiating with bank /FI’s and ensured the completion of OTS. I also proved instrumental in Funds raising for Project and Working capital finance for Bank and FI’s. Over the years, I was engaged in International trade finance activities for Imports LC’s / Buyers Credit etc. I also displayed ability to handle big tax Inspections of SIB, IT etc
Over the years, I used analytical and software skills and oversaw the smooth operation of formation and implementation of control over cost of productions, reduce scrap generation, optimisation of machines capacity utilization, and optimization of menhrs . I also dealt with Statutory Auditor and complied with the requirements. In addition, I successfully implemented ERP in an mutil cultural environment
