Direct the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure adherence to mining standards.
Oversee project execution using knowledge of mining and mineral processing principles & ensuring the communication of multidisciplinary teams
Hold the role to ensure that short and long term strategies are in place to ensure business sustainability, socially, financially and environmentally
Ensure adherence to all relevant requirements, policies, procedures and legal regulations pertaining to HSE and quality.
Directs behavior and performance outcome of all staff within the designated area of responsibility; Control and management of gold production, costs, budgets and all performance criteria
Oversee recruitment, selection, development, deployment and retention of staff members in line with the overall operation strategy of the plant and resource allocation
Ensure process plant attain target production per day in accordance to standard operating procedures through labor management troubleshooting and correction of operational challenges
Act as company representative to external stakeholders
Provide adequate inputs in ensuring that health, safety, and environmental standards are adhered to
•Oversight function that all KPI’s are achieved imp with particular focus on milling availability, throughput, safety and recovery
•Departmental budget and cost control
•Mentoring and training the staff on the core values of the organization
•Oversight function of all activities within processing plant for both operations and maintenance
•To oversee stakeholder issues an contracts are dealt with accordingly
•Ensure all statutory and legal framework for the department are in order and to date
•Ensure discipline is maintained within the department
