Reports to and receives assignments, instructions and direction from the foreman or general foreman.
Demonstrate thorough understanding of NFPA 70 National Electric Code (NEC) or the British standard BS
7671, or other internationally recognized electrical regulations and standards. Fluent with proper installation
techniques and display highest level of workmanship. Responsible for supervising crews made up of diverse
subcontract and direct hired employee in proper installations, standards and workmanship. Maintains tools and
testing equipments in a safe manner. Follows all the company safety policies.
Capable of classifying electrical distribution systems, trouble shooting and identifying circuit faults across
a broad range of applications, knowledge of AC theory, motors starters, transformers, residual current
devices and over current protective devices. Understands the safe operation and applications of instruments
provided for circuit analysis and testing, including power analyzers, ground rod resistance meters, ground
fault loop impedance testers, residual current device testers and similar test equipment standard in the
trade. Read and interprets blue prints, schematics, instructions and other technical documents.
Maintains, repairs, replaces or installs a broad range of electrical equipment in support of base
construction and maintenance activities. Completes records, maintains tools and equipment and
performs various clean-up and housekeeping activities. Responsible for identifying proper materials,
suitable for the use, listed, and as required for specific installations. Observes and follows all safety rules
and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment. Performs other duties and
activities as directed. Documented trade experience and training.
