Represent the Client in a professional and diligent manner at all times while acting as client’s point of contact at Cost Consultancy Division of Pasha Construction at PASHA Holding (Client Company). Preparation of Cost Estimates & Cost Plans through all stages of design and undertake Cost Analysis for completed projects, performing Risk and Value Management and Cost Control, advising on Procurement Strategy, managing the procurement of Trade Contractors; Consultants and Suppliers, leading the tender action, preparation of Tender Documents; Tender Evaluation Reports and Contract Documents, lead the Change Control Process and seek early resolution of contract changes, prepare monthly Cash Flows & Cost Reports, assist in preparation of Variation Orders and evaluating Claims, Identifying, analyzing and developing responses to Commercial Risks, attend commercial meetings with Client; Contractors; Suppliers and prepare minutes of meetings & commercial correspondences, liaise with Client and other consultants in the delivery of the project, assist in coaching and development of subordinate team members in the delivery of service excellence
Identifying labor, material, and time requirements by studying tender documents and live updating of cost databases, develop rate breakdowns and pricing using Hard Dollar 10.1 project cost management software, preparing special tender reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, preparation of interim valuations and variation estimations, assessment and review of sub-contractors’ interim applications, interaction with the Client’s representatives and sub-contractors in respect of all contractual matters.
Preparation of interim valuations and final account valuations, negotiating and agreeing variations with main contractor, interaction and maintain correspondence with the main contractor; client representatives and sub-contractors in respect of all contractual matters, prepare cash flow forecasts, report costs on a monthly basis and detailing cost reconciliations, performing contract administration of the sub-contracts and purchase orders including checking and processing of payments. Taking off quantities & preparation of BOQ, Identifying labor, material, and time requirements by studying tender documents, attend pre-bid meetings and site visits, develop rate breakdowns and pricing using Hard Dollar 10.1 project cost management software.
Certifying interim valuations, evaluation of variations; price fluctuation claims & final accounts, assist Project Management teams with advice and contractual support for project issues, preparing project estimates, cost planning, preparation of tender documents; tender evaluation reports & contract documents, liaise with Client’s representatives at government procurement committee meetings, managing small teams of quantity surveyors.
GPA: 3.74 CLASS: 2nd Class Upper Division Pass (Class Rank 1) Obtained an “A” grade for the industrial research carried out on “social capital as an enabler of disseminating project knowledge within construction organisations in Sri lanka” as the final year Dissertation. Obtained an “A+” grade for the final assessment of Industrial Training (16 weeks in a Contracting Organisation & 16 weeks in a Consulting Organisation).
