Assistant Resident Engineer (Jun 2023-Present)

Working as an ARE on the Coolex Warehouse & Factory project, a 10-million KD, 20, 000 m2 project aimed at constructing, finishing and maintaining a warehouse & factory building for Refrigeration Industries Company (RIC).

• Carrying out the tasks of the assistant resident engineer on a much larger scale with a larger team of engineers.
• Conducting professional training of new engineering interns that are working on the project.
• Maintaining accurate records of project documents such as drawings, specifications, contracts, and correspondence.
• Coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of the project.

Assistant Resident Engineer (Oct 2021 - Jan 2024)

Worked as an ARE on the Jashanmal Warehouse & Office Building project, a 2.5-million KD, 5, 000 m2 project aimed at constructing, finishing and maintaining a warehouse & office building for Jashanmal Group.

• Worked with a team of 20+ engineers from all related disciplines to ensure the study and execution of the project was done according to codes and standards
• Assessed and modified execution operations carried out by contractors to maintain safety and quality.
• Assessed and developed time schedules for execution and procurement of materials.
• Organized and held regular meetings between the consultant, contractor and owner’s representatives to discuss project progress and amendments requested by the owner.
• Solved design and execution-related problems that occurred during the development and execution of the project phases.
• Coordinated the flow of inter-disciplinary engineering works (structural, architectural, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, etc.).
• Utilized computer-aided design and drafting software such as AutoCAD, Etabs and STAAD pro.

• Synthesized daily and monthly progress reports to ensure the project was moving forward as planned.
• Familiarized myself with the work flow, the hierarchal, and legal structure of project operations.
• Supervised execution operations on site to develop a better understanding of site-related needs and issues.

Worked as an Engineering Intern on MPW road civil works and asphalt rehabilitation project in Al-Ahmadi area including Al-Dabbous st. and blocks 4 & 12.
• Performed an assessment of the quantities of materials required for asphalt rehabilitation on the roads within the project scope.
• Familiarized myself with the different phases of the operation of asphalt rehabilitation and the materials and equipment involved.
• Recognized the codes and standards utilized by MPW for projects of road rehabilitation and civil works.

needed for construction.

relevant details.
• Identifying potential subcontractors and suppliers who can provide the required goods and services for the project.

• Reviewing contract terms and conditions proposed by the client and negotiate favorable terms.

• Performed and reported basic material tests (Axial compression, Axial Tension, tear test, etc..).
• Performed and reported basic soil tests (Soil Classification, LL, PL, Direct Shear Test, Compressive Strength, etc.
