As an educator, my goal is to create a dynamic and engaging learning environment where students are encouraged to develop their intellectual, emotional, physical, and social skills. I believe that an effective teacher should be open-minded and positive, bringing their highest expectations to the classroom each day. It is my aim to create a nurturing atmosphere where students feel valued and supported in achieving their full potential.
To achieve this goal, I believe in adapting the curriculum to cater to different learning styles and incorporating hands-on activities, cooperative learning, projects, themes, and individual work to engage and activate students' learning. I believe that every student is unique, and my role as an educator is to assist each student in developing their own potential and learning style.
I am proud to have completed the PhD Students Teaching Academy Program conducted by the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) and the College of Graduate Studies (CGS) at the United Arab Emirates University. In addition, I have participated in the development of High and Secondary Schools Curricula Project conducted by the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Education.
As an instructor, I have taught undergraduate lab courses, including General Physics Lab 2, with approximately 20 students. This experience has taught me to navigate the challenges of dealing with a broad range of student backgrounds and ability levels. I have also co-taught a graduate course, Special Techniques for Solving Nonlinear Differential Equations, with my PhD supervisor. This role involved lecturing, writing problem sets, and mentoring final projects of two PhD students.
Furthermore, I have experience teaching Physics to grade 12 students and Math and Science subjects to grade 4 and 5 students in a private school in Abu Dhabi, UAE. These experiences have taught me to be flexible, creative, and adaptable in my teaching approach to ensure that every student is given the opportunity to learn and grow.
In summary, my teaching philosophy is centered on creating a positive, dynamic, and engaging learning environment that fosters student growth and development. I am dedicated to providing my students with the skills, knowledge, and support necessary to achieve their full potential.
