Responsibilities and Duties:
•Represent the organization in initial kick off and preliminary meetings of the client.
•Assists with planning, establishing, implementing, and maintaining a variety of safety and environmental measures. Compliance with corporate and local department HSE requirements and expectations
•Developing and preparing HSE plans, Procedure and reviewing annually.
•Ensure that Health, Safety and Environmental programs and procedures are communicated and understood by all on-site personnel and participate in giving lectures and talks on such activities.
•Designing and implementing HSE forms, as and when required for record.
•Provide expertise on Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA)
•Provides advice and consultation to department staff to assist them in maintaining a safe working environment in compliance with the project requirements.
•Environmental/safety regulations, standards and practices.
•Performs job site safety compliance inspections including hazard analyses and safe work procedures, and prepares written reports and recommendations
•Lead sites in maintaining safe system of work, supporting tools, procedures and forms
•Organizing safety induction for new employees.
•Liaise with sites on Compliance to Process Safety
•Conduct Safety Awareness and Trainings
•Develops controls for identified hazards. Coordinates the implementation of controls from results of hazard analyses. Measures and evaluates the effectiveness of the hazard control system, policies, and procedures and recommends changes that need improvement.
•Oversee and review Contractor's regulatory compliance throughout construction to ensure that environmental requirements are established, implemented and maintained across all construction site activities.
•To provide environmental and legal compliance support services to the Project Team, including the Environmental Manager and environmental personnel on site Subcontractors, through administering and supervising the compliance requirements on a Project Site basis. This includes the integration of environmental commitments contained in the Legal Obligations Register/Database into Project activities.
•Complying with administrative and monitoring systems, producing detailed documentation and complex reports related to air, water, noise and solid waste pollution.
•To Ensure Environmental compliance of PMC activities.
•Oversee Contractor's environmental monitoring, inspections and audits. Review and act on monitoring results, site inspections and audits to ensure that the Contractor's environmental requirements (contractual, permitting, approvals, etc.) are being implemented.
•Conduct and report on regular site inspections (daily/weekly/monthly), and conduct audits as per ISO 14001.
•Assess the environmental impacts associated with Contractor activities, and development of the appropriate environmental responses, including advice on remedial actions.
•Lead discussions and correspondence with/to the Contractor(s) regarding environmental activities and procedures, and develop the appropriate responses/direction to ensure compliance with environmental requirements.
•Manage Contractor response activities related to environmental advice, non-compliances, environmental incidents, etc.
•Attendance at regular Contractor meetings. Chair environmental meetings as required.
•Oversee and track incident investigations, audits and environmental impact assessments, including the corrective actions, root causes, and preventive actions recommended / taken to ensure closure in a timely manner.
•Prepare correspondence to Contractors, the Client and Regulatory Authorities, as necessary.
•Organize the necessary resources to achieve project objectives and goals.
•Communicate effectively both through written reports, letters, e-mails and in oral discussions, internally with all employees on the project, other disciplines and departments, and externally with the Client, Contractors and Government Agencies.
•Provide clients with sound, strategic EA, permitting and approvals consulting advice
•Act as a liaison between clients and approving authorities.
•Prepare the necessary elements for technical presentations and participate in Client meetings.
•Coordinating with PMC for Environmental compliance.

•Conduct frequent audits and inspections to ensure the effectiveness of HSE programs and procedures at assigned location present recommendations for improvement and follow-up their implementation.

DEVELOPED, IMPLEMENTED, MONITORED HSE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM: Establish policy, procedure standards in line with the international standards, industrial practices, implemented the system through meeting, training, demonstration, drill, etc. Monitor by inspection, site visits, audits, review etc. and measure the performance, Statistics, Near miss reports etc. and advised measures for continual Improvement.
•ACCIDENT REPORTING, INVESTIGATION REVIEW: Perform the accident / incident investigation, review, analysis causes using Fault Tree Analysis, Loss Causation Model, analyze trends, predict probabilities and advise company.
•TRAINING & PRESENTATION: Developed training Manual guidelines including Matrices, prepare materials, made presentations.
•Training skills (Multilingual-English and Hindi) in: full site safety training, Defensive Driving, BLS & CPR, Breathing Apparatus, Permit To Work System, Fall Protection, Work at Height, Confined Space, Electrical Safety, Leadership, Spill Prevention & Response, Visitor Safety Induction waste management system, chemical awareness, power toll, hand safety, inert atmosphere, lifting and rigging, Heat stress, PMC-SIMOPS etc.. Plans and set up crisis response, response, drills, table top exercises etc. and recommend improvements corrective measures.
•HSE AUDITING: Certified Internal Auditor, perform HSE auditing in line with the established HSE management system. This is also includes System Audit, Project Audit, Activity Audit, equipment etc.
•HSE REQUIREMENTS IN CONTRACT: Specify the HSE requirements during tendering process, evaluation of the contract documents and Sub contractor, monitor performance during the project execution, maintain records of Sub contractor’s performance for future evaluation of the contracts etc.
•HSE EVALUATION OF THE FACILITY: Coordinate with management to specify the HSE requirements of the Facility etc. and perform Risk Assessment etc.
•FAMILIAR WITH THE ADVANCE FIRE DETECTION & SUPPRESSION SYSTEM: Worked with the advanced fire detection & suppression system, this includes Detection System, CO2 System, Foam Suppression system etc.
•INSPECTION OF FIRE EQUIPMENTS: Perform inspection & testing of the Portable, Mobile, Fixed Fire Suppression System & equipment.
