•Develop effective project designs in line with authority’s regulation, project specifications, client requirements and expectations. Ensuring commercial viability of the design and technical coordination for the site work.
•Coordinate & liaise all aspects of the project with other engineering disciplines; MEP, Structure & Landscape
•Manage a team of several designers, evaluating individual design deliverables and overall team performance.
•Oversee the production of design information to meet the project programme.
•Review all design documentation to ensure suitability for construction and in accordance with all relevant standards, regulations and comply with all the requirements of the company’s quality management systems.
•Coordinate with the Production Department on completing fabrication details to aid factory production and site installation.
•Monitor and control design changes/variations according to changing project and client demands. Coordinate with Contracts and QS on possible revisions to contracts and project budget.
•Monitor project schedules to ensure objectives and deadlines are being met.
•Conduct work inspections and ensure the work in progress is in accordance to the approved design specifications.
•Liaise with the Supply Chain Dept. for the selection and assessment of Subcontractors to ensure they are competent, qualified and capable of providing the design input required for the project.
•Provide advice and support on material design application.
•Conduct Weekly review meetings for the clients, sub-consultants and sub-contractors to monitor if project is on track. Take necessary action in case of anticipated delays.
•Continuous Coordination with sub-consultants to ensure design related information as per budget, construction strategy and client’s requirements.

Responsible for multiple projects simultaneously, from pre-Tender/Contract stage to the handover phase. Tasks include but not limited to the following:

• Preparing projects’ initiation documentation.
• Developing Procurement & Project programmes from indicative to detail construction programme.
• Prepare and develop logistics plans and preliminaries directory.
• Assisting in preparing tender documents, e.g. Employers’ Requirements and RFP’s.
• Responding to RFI’s coming from consultants and contractors.
• Negotiation with preferred contractors and requesting BAFO’s as necessary to achieve commercial targets.
• A member of the tender opening committee.
• Tracking activities against the detailed project plans.
• Risk Assessment.
• Arranging and attending various meetings-as needed- with contractors and consultants as a client representative.
• Following up with variations, delays and orders from the consultant/contractor.
• Identifying, costing, evaluating, value-engineering and processing any contract variations.
• Issuing payment certificates, PMI’s, File Notes, change control/management forms.
• Preparing reports and meeting minutes.
• Appraising and examining returned RFP’s along with all qualifications required, commercially and technically.
• Making a final recommendation based on the technical & comer commercial appraisal.
• Following up with each stage of the project via emails and site visits, including procurements and delivery schedules.

Worked with the Procurement & Business Development Team to support the following two bids:
Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SMCC), Al Mafraq, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai Healthcare City, Dubai.

• Preparing RFQ’s for FM (Facilites Management), soft and MEP services, to name a few; cleaning, laundry, pest control, waste management, BMS, elevators, fire fighting systems.
• Conduct procurement then assess the return bids for amendments or clarifications if needed.
• Responding to RFI’s coming from consultants or contractors.
• Appraising and examining returned RFP’s along with all qualifications required, commercially and technically as per company policies.
