1- Assigned to the Civil and underground piping & the MEI Subcontracts for Sohar Project, Oman:
- Preparation and Issuance of Invitation to Bid (ITB) documents
- Reply to Subontractor’s queries.
- Receipt of Subcontractors offers.
- Preparation of Bid Tabs.
- Clarification meetings with potential Subontractors.
- Follow up with engineering for Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE) submission.
- Preparation of post bid clarifications including commercial and technical (received from engineering) comments.
- Drafting of final Subcontract agreement.
2- Prequalification Evaluation of new and potential subcontractors.
3- Preparation and organization, along with Company’s HSSE team, of the yearly “Contractor’s Safety Forum”.
4- Organization, along with Corporate Quality & HSSE teams, of site due diligence visit on potential Subcontractors.
August 2012 - April 2014: Project Engineer in South Yoloten project - Turkmenistan:
1- Vendor Mobilization for commissioning activities:
Planning the mobilization of vendors for commissioning of electrical and mechanical packages.
Arranging for required purchase orders (PO) for the commissioning activities.
Organization of vendor mobilization as per site requirement for commissioning of electrical and mechanical packages. (application of visa, travel arrangements, timely mobilization, timesheet follow up and daily reports).
Control of number of man-days consumed for commissioning of each package and minimizing the cost as much as possible.
Clearance of invoices against vendor mobilization and arranging for change orders whenever required.
Preparation of weekly report for tracking of vendor mobilization.
2- Handling of EIT POs:
Raising Material requests as per site requirement
Follow up on PO placement
Follow up on delivery of material
Follow up on submission of required documents for each package (quality and engineering documents)
Follow up with logistics on shipping of material until they reach site
November 2011 - August 2012: Project Engineer in Badra Oil Field project - Iraq:
1- Responsible for the Temporary facilities, reporting directly to the Project Manager.
Subcontract Bidding stage:
Subcontractors selection process: review of offers (technical and commercial), clarification meetings with potential subcontractors, and responsibility matrix preparation.
Preparation of camp layout and sizing of utilities (STP, ROP, DG sets, Tanks, etc.), and buildings (Laundry, recreation, kitchen, dining hall, etc.)
Subcontract Post Bidding Stage:
Point of contact with subcontractor.
Responsible for clearing of all drawings and material data sheets.
Follow up with all material till site delivery in addition to material inspection before shipment.
2- In addition, I handled the ambulance and clinic equipment purchase from preparation of inquiry, TBE, and purchase requisition to inspection of material and ambulance before delivery to site
