Members: 4 Description: The main objective of the project is the search for renewable sources of energy has resulted in the revival of a concept based on the utilization of the differences in temperature, ∆T, between the warm tropical surface waters (Tw~22°C to 29°C), and the cold deep ocean waters (Tc~4°C to 5°C) available at depths of above 1000mts as the source of thermal energy required to vaporize and condense the working fluid of a turbine generator system. This concept is referred to as Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC)
