My current work focuses on the effect of garlic (Allium sativum) on the expression of insulin m-RNA and polypeptides in the tissues of streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats.
Involved in budgeting and keeping track of the lab supplies and necessities.
Also involved in mentoring trainees, master’s students and helping them analyse results.
Carried out research projects involving the use of advanced techniques such as gene cloning, Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR), sub-cloning into expression vectors, gene deletion techniques, DNA sequencing analysis, site-directed mutagenesis and kinetic expression profiling.
Assisted in the reprogramming of probiotics into effective vessels of treating of superbug infections. Devised programmable biological functionalities in microbial systems
Devised online learning resources in math and science for student clientele worldwide.
Delivered curriculum through a range of interactive presentations, tutorials, activities and exercises.

Context of project
1) Identification And Industrial Applications Of Keratinophilic Fungi
Isolated and identified various species of Keratinophilic fungi present in selected soil samples based on sporulation patterns.
Isolated fungal samples and carried out experiments analysing their ability to degrade keratinaceous substances.
Ensured quality of experiment by running proper controls while determining the keratinolytic activity of fungi.
Fine-tuned research findings to suit a variety of industrial applications such as effective removal of hair from animal hide, hair straightening and topical drug delivery
