My day to day routine is divided between teaching, lesson planning, staff development and preparing and writing academic test materials.
They're often very demanding days however, very rewarding none the less.
Academic English Lecturer, assisted in preparing a new IELTS curriculum, designed and implemented a business curriculum & project based assessment plus final examination, responsible for business teachers including holding regular meetings, IELTS & Autonomous teacher training as well as other internal based projects.
I also became the assessment supervisor 2009/10. It was my responsibility to liaise with the assessment manager on a daily basis, look after a small team of test writers, organise meetings, write invigilator handbooks and pre-testing of materials
Writing dedicated IELTS curriculum including internal testing, teaching English to MA TESOL graduates & mentoring local teachers.
Preparing FCE & IELTS curriculum, daily & weekly lesson planning, preparing monthly continuous assessment grading, invigilating IELTS equivalent examinations, writing student reports as well as teaching both FCE & IELTS classes.
Delivering curriculum based English to English majors and post graduate students including examination preparation.
Design and implementation of business studies including foreign investment with project base.
Staff evaluation of educational needs, writing lesson plans, organising materials, weekly testing and grading, reporting to hotel manager with staff reviews.
Part of a busy local office with over 50 employees and 1000's of local and national customers, liasing with customers including onsite meetings, setting office meetings and agenda's, managing staff including evaluations, other responsibilities included, budget, stock control, staff training & maintaining British Standards throughout the company.
