- Maintains knowledge of standards of the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations ( JCAHO ) guidelines and National Committee on Quality Assurance by;
Assuring patient rights.
Assuring Complete file documentation.
Identification of opportunities to improve quality of care; and assessment and improvement of key processes that directly impact on patient services.
- Maintains open communication with the Medical Staff, Administration and Hospital Departments to Identify and work to solve problems related to OPD as they arise;
Assuring that customer service standards are consistently met or exceeded
Identifying opportunities to improve services and take corrective actions accordingly
Maintaining data and providing reports
Responding promptly to resolve any patient complaints.
- Monitoring OPD workflow to;
Ensure optimum patient flow.
Ensure cycle times appropriate for services.
Monitor staff productivity.
Schedule work.
Establish standards.
- Maintains time accuracy in the start and the end of every slot by;
Assuring nurse distribution in time.
Assuring file delivery in time for booked and walk INS patients.
Assuring doctors attendance in time.
- Decrease the deduction arising from OPD credit bills;
Monitoring missing and incomplete claim forms.
Prevent delivery of unpaid uncovered services.
- Management and co-coordination of the Outpatient doctors Appointments with OR ensuring the provision of a high quality integrated service.
- Assuring that all new consultants who join the staff are appropriately supported and oriented to the site.
- Provide reports as required for areas of responsibility.
- Working on DMS system.
Responsible for coordination and oversight of:
- The Medical Staff Services Department, including physician and medical report office
- The Bill Accounting Department
- The Patient Relation Department
- The contracts Team
- The Representative of outside the hospital corporate and health agencies.
- Meeting management
- Free flow of information from medical staff committees through the Medical Executive Committee and the Governing Board.
Works closely with medical staff leaders, hospital administration, and legal counsel with regard to medical staff and bylaws issues.
Job Objectives
1. Maintains open communication with the Medical Staff, Administration, Hospital Departments, practitioner’s office staff, and related health agencies. Identifies and works to solve problems as they arise.
2. Maintains knowledge of standards of the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, National Committee on Quality Assurance, and the Representative of outside the hospital corporate and health agencies.
3. Oversees the processing of all the hospital bills medically to be mirror image to the financial bill before it send to the corporate for payments.
4. Solve any hanged issues to decrease deductions.
5. Solve any old issues to release the hanged old deduction.
6. Exhibits a high degree of responsibility for confidential matters.
7. Oversees the development of departmental policies and procedures.
8. Assists in the development of a departmental operating and capital budget.
9. Assists in price list operation.
- Review and auditing of the inpatient credit bills.
- Review doctors claims inside the hospital for the operation.
- Medical auditing on the medical process, using supplies & requested investigations of treating patients.
- Participate in new pricing of new and old services.
- Participating in new system application of contracted corporate inside the hospital to improve work process.
- Help contracted patients from embassy throughout the hospital process.
- Working on HIS system.
(Claims Auditing, Meeting Coordination, Team Coordination, Training, Re-submission Batches)
- Manual claims entry on the system.
- Processing and auditing medical claims on ICD 9 system.
- Negotiation with the providers about the deduction per month.
- Training of new candidates on the claims and the system.
- Auditing the new & old candidates.
- Working on national and international medical claims.
- Daily and monthly Reporting to the medical manager.
- Monitors, tracks, evaluates and reports infections for the assigned unit
- Reviews clinical records for completeness and accuracy as necessary.
- Participates in the Quality Assurance process.
- Oversees resident care to promote the highest level of physical, mental and psychosocial functioning possible for assigned unit.
- Participates in committee/programs as directed by Director of Nursing.
