Controlling the operation parameters at the hot agitation copper leaching plant from the
crushing, milling, leaching and CCD plant to achieve the designated copper recovery.
* Monitoring the operation of the milling section so as to consistently have the desired
Grinding (%passing) by conducting daily sieve analysis experiments.
* Doing the Total suspended solid experiments on the CCD overflow PLS to monitor the
efficiency of the CCDS.
* Coordinating between the plant operations and the analytical laboratory results to improve
the copper recovery.
* Accounting for the consumables used during production i.e. sulphuric acid, mill steel balls,
flocculent, limestone (CaCO3) in relation to the milled tonnage.
* Writing daily production reports and presenting to the manager every morning,
* Coordinating PLS solution flows between agitation leach plant and solvent extraction plant
to avoid flooding.
* Coordinating operations with maintenance crew to make sure the plant keep on running to
enhance production.
* Acting as a guide on the overall plant operations.

Actively involved in the commissioning of the Muliashi agitation leach plant to enhance
production.
* Controlling the operations of the Agitation Leach Plant from the roll crushing plant,
milling section, dewatering thickener, hot agitation leaching section, counter current
decantation (CCD) clarifiers to the pin bed clarifiers before gravitating PLS to the solvent
extraction plant (SX) and electrowinnig section.
* Ensuring that correct procedures are followed during the plant startup in case of a shut
down.
* Advising field operators on the dosage of flocculants into the thickeners to enhance
maximum overflow clarity before gravitating Pregnant Leach Solution to SX plant.
* Controlling the PH
of slurry in the agitation tanks to achieve the targeted leach by way of
dosing in the required amounts acid.
* Conducting safety talks at the start of shift and sensitizing them to have the common goal
during the production process.
Acting as a channel of communication from all plant departments it being the central
control.
