•In addition to Senior Specialist activities described below, I was appointed in the team lead role. As team lead, I managed the team in terms of HSE and HR activities including regular one-on-one meetings, performance appraisal guidance, work/life balances, handling escalations and providing guidance in their day-to-day activities.
•Part of the role was the transitioning of non-enterprise applications into the regional teams in Rio Tinto for all locations (Europe, Canada, Salt Lake City and Australia). The project involved a global data gathering resulting in a proposal for management approval. Through proper planning and implementation, 40 non-enterprise applications were transitioned in a month’s time with very few issues. I was responsible for the initial data gathering, proposals, managing the transitioning, leading the knowledge transfer sessions and business change control

•The job title changed a number of times including Advisor, Business Analyst and eventually Senior Specialist. A highlight of the role was active involvement in the local roll out of Rio Tinto SAP to Rio Tinto Iron and Titanium with business units in South Africa and Canada in 2013. Other functions include:
•Regional Process Consultant responsible for the Sales and Distribution / Contract to Cash area as well as Information Management applications across Rio Tinto’s African operations. Responsibility included enterprise as well as non enterprise applications
