Data Analyst Roles and responsibilities:
♦ Responsible for the daily, weekly and monthly reports, financial matters and administrative job for the department and custodian of department data.
♦ Assuring the integrity of data, including data extraction, storage, technical manipulation, processing and analysis
♦ Collecting and collating appropriate data for usage in databases
♦ Coding accurately variables from original information or data and completing analysis as required
♦ Preparing and making presentations
♦ Analyzing data with standard methods, interpreting the results and providing written summary of data analysis
♦ Sharing the knowledge of analysis and processing techniques and data coding with other staff.
♦ Participating in ongoing decisions concerning data collections and analysis
♦ Prepares all timely monthly reports required by the department
Administrative Assistant Roles and responsibilities:
♦ Coordinate with the staff for operational support activities of the department
♦ Provide administrative support for the department such as, monitoring financial matters, assisting visitors to Corporate Director's office and handling administrative matters
♦ Operate desktop computer
♦ Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, events and other similar activities for Director
♦ Acts as one of the "front liners" of the back-end process
♦ Receives raw data in XML format coming from Assistant Manager
♦ Converts XML file to TXT, CSV and XLS file using an existing application and MS Excel function
♦ Formats the content of the output (in excel format) according to SOP
♦ Compares output against existing data in the Web-based database by downloading it with the use of MS Excel functions
♦ Prepares the output for deployment to data processing department
♦ Reports any discrepancy and/or issue with regards to the comparison result
♦ Monitors and updates files received and deployed
♦ Doing other tasks such as raw data hunting, MS Excel macro scripting (basic to advance), assisting Senior Analyst with his/her workload.
♦ Admin of automation jobs (MS Excel Macro templates and Integrated Development Environment)
♦ Managing volume and bandwidth of automation request sent via email with attachment
♦ Validates, submits, uploads and records input file requests to Mainframe processor
♦ Upload jobs from input file template and IDE into Mainframe and Rule station
♦ Enters job execution statement through console; modifies and enters Job Control Language required to perform scheduled operation
♦ Monitoring status of automation for updates as per client request
♦ Scans and reviews output / result to ensure proper job execution
♦ Establishing and revising SOP documents for requestors
♦ Back-up of developers automation technician
♦ Design macro and MS automations
♦ Automates basic QC process using macro
♦ Analysis coding of file against literal using MS Office tools and Mainframe via Exchange server environment (Citrix)
♦ Checks integrity and completeness of the verified files before final submission
♦ Investigates the cause of the error missed by a co-Data Analyst within the same group and reports the result of the investigation to Offshore and Onshore manager
♦ Establishing and revising SOP documents for requestors
♦ Studies, understands and applies all client specifications on the project
♦ Manages, trains and assigns workload to other Data Analyst

♦ Converts, and re-scales an image into another file type using Adobe Photoshop 6.
♦ Converts scanned document into an editable format.
♦ Checks, compare the integrity and completeness of document and/or images against the raw file by proof-reading its content before final submission
♦ Runs a pre-coded bat file to convert pdf file into xml file
♦ Debugs the pre-coded bat file when conversion of pdf file into xml file fails
♦ Checks, and edits the xml files created by the bat file to match it to the expected result of the client
♦ Assist the Network Administrator in installing computer servers.
♦ Configuring, maintaining and monitoring computer servers, clients e-mail and dial-up user accounts and databases.
♦ Assist the Network Administrator in LAN cabling
♦ Helps the Network Admin maintain enough security of stored information of the clients
