Up until 31st December 2015 I was working at the Embassy of Switzerland my job entailed of the following, minor translations, correspondence with the local Authorities when PR officer was on vacation, organizing events, providing general information on Switzerland, and on Education in Switzerland, assisted in visa department, as well as daily tasks such as filing, archiving and distributing all incoming mail to the embassy. Left the embassy due to recent budget cut down implemented by the Ministry in Switzerland.
Office closed
Italian Embassy Military Defense office as translator, office administrator and secretary, I handle all correspondence in Arabic language and English, schedule all appointments for the Defense Attaché. Organized all the events for the Military Office.
I have been interpreting and translating on a part time basis for the past 23 years; after my move to Kuwait it became a second job filling up my free time, In the year 2003 I was hired by the Administrative Office CAI (Antica Babilonia) of the Italian Contingent stationed in Kuwait to translate documents contract on a part time basis gradually dedicating more and more of my free time then in late 2004 I become their official translator and public relation officer to handle all their enquiries requests and requirements with all the suppliers, my duties included translating (verbal and written) of documents contract and official papers, simultaneous translation with suppliers and authorities. I research d the market for firms and companies or service providers to deal with.
I was hired by the company as sales executive on a temporary basis, to bring in new business opportunities in particular military contracts soon after we won the transportation contract for the Italian Armed Forces in Iraq to coordinate all their movements to and from Kuwait/ Iraq a contract in which I handled all aspects sales, public relations and operations insuring top service. During this period a new account was acquired as well with Kuwait Food Company (Americana), a never ending race to obtain new account and new clients to provide logistic services and solutions to all of their transportation needs. I left this company because of a better offer.
I joined the company at the start of January as an executive secretary, soon I was transferred to marketing department. unfortunately there was a mutual disagreement about the position do I decided to hand in my resignation.
I joined National Car Rental for a temporary position as the company was just starting, I assumed marketing manager position, i handled the requests for both the British and the Italian Army. The business grew immediately, unfortunately due to an accident I had to stop work.
Started working Jan 2000 as a Claim Assistance Officer, this position consisted of filing, minor translations, visiting insurance companies, briefing the new Officers of the Mission, preparing cases and attending BOI (Board of Inquiry) meetings.
In February 2001 I was transferred to Operations Brach to assume the position Secretary to the COO (Chief Operations Officer). This post required a person who is well organized; work well under pressure and with a variety of people as the branch consisted of 19 Officers with distinct nationalities. During my working period I reorganized the filing system for the branch a system that was easy to follow and documents were easily retrieved. Also in this branch I was required to translate both verbally and in writing. My main duties were to type the all correspondences for the COO, work orders for all the Officers, attending the Generals (Force Commander) monthly and weekly briefings. I was responsible for preparing the Forecast of Events for the Mission on a monthly basis, and handled sundry duties as they were assigned. I left the UN because the Mission had to close due to the war between Kuwait and Iraq. I left the UN because the mission closed.
I started working in the Visa section for the new visa system, handling clients applications request etc. I covered Ambassadors secretary position for a period of 6 months, doing all the secretarial duties as requested requirements, minor translation and other duties as assigned; as well as assisted the commercial section when needed. I left the embassy as the contract was not renewed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. (staff cut down)
started in the back office after 3 month I was promoted to Deposit Accounting Department, taking care of NSF (non-sufficient funds) accounts dealing directly with Managers, filing balancing etc.after 3 years I was promoted to Investigation Department, and Customer Inquiries. Research and problem solving dealing with customers and managers both in person and by phone, corresponding with other branches, translating when required. I left the bank because I changes county of residency.
