Duties & Responsibilities: ELECTRICAL Consultant: • Perform site supervision to check and supervised the contractor's work.
• Ensure that the contractors are complying with the safety procedures.
• Perform site inspection for systems installation for Power, Lighting System, Fire alarm, BMS, CCTV, Access Control, SMATV, and intercom/telecommunication system including integration of ELV system with BMS.
• Understands and clarifies given instructions by immediate superior and implement to site accordingly.
• Inspect site deliveries to ensure materials are compliance with the shop drawing, specification, standards, and relevant authority regulations and requirements and report to immediate superior.
• Witness testing and commissioning of Electrical Installation in order to ensure that the systems are achieving their intended performance.
• Coordinate and direct the electrical contractor in coordination with other services and finishes.
• Helps/support Senior Electrical Engineer to review and evaluates electrical drawings and specifications prepared by constructing engineers based on Standards and Local Authority Regulations.
• Prepares special reports (Site Instruction, Defective Work Report, NCR, etc.) on electrical related problems encountered at site which are in need of immediate attention.
• Check and review Weekly Progress and Monitoring Report and Daily Manpower Allocation submitted by contractors and do the confirmation as per actual site condition and status.
• Perform Snag works for verification of balance and defective works for contractor to take necessary action.
• Helps/support Senior Electrical Engineer for Monthly Payment verification and possible adjustment as required.
• Helps/support Senior Electrical Engineer for verification of submitted variation data by contractor based on actual site condition and requirements.
• Review 'As Built' drawings and 'Operations and Maintenance Manuals' to ensure correctness, completeness and if those are in-line with the specifications.
• Provides guidance and support to colleagues if necessary and imparts knowledge to improve their abilities as required.
• Help other project teams when own workload permits with approval from the Senior Engineer and the RE.
ELECTRICAL DESIGN/SITE ENGINEER: • Implements the contract documents, such as design drawings, specifications, Bill of Quantities, contract conditions, etc. on site.
• Reviews / checks and recommend the acceptable completed progress percentages of all electrical activities to the Project Manager for Contractor's Monthly Payment Applications.
• Checks, reviews and approve all the electrical materials submittals, proposals and samples.
• Inspects all the electrical materials delivered to project site for compliance as per approved materials data / samples.
• Checks quality of electrical works for full compliance with the contract Specification requirements and approvals.
• Verifies handing over, testing and commissioning of all electrical systems.
• Attends regular progress meetings with Client, CM, contractors, suppliers, etc.
• Gives clear, concise and understandable instructions to staff to avoid confusion, re-work and errors. Follows up with staff to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Understands given instructions and implement them. Clarifies instructions when not clear. Facilitates constructive discussion on contentious issues.
• Ensures that all key stakeholders are kept informed of progress, problems and issues.
• Completes timesheets on weekly basis, reflecting actual hours worked and providing details of work done. Monthly timesheets are completed in Archetype no later than the 3rd of the following month.
• Walking at the job/project site in all the climatic conditions, climb using temporary ladders and withstanding increased noise levels.
Supervisor (manufacturing)
• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance work based on schedule and programs given by immediate superior.
• Identify, troubleshoot and repair problems in electrical wiring that occur in an industrial setting.
• Repairing equipments and controls, replacing old switches, and tracking down electrical shorts circuits.
• Perform checking of all equipments and machine parameters based on provided checklist and reports to immediate superior any abnormalities found.
• Prepares reports based on the problem encountered and recommend solutions to prevent recurrence of the problem.
• Prepares daily report regarding the day to day activities performed including those extra work accomplished.
• Conduct material and equipment inventory and submit to the immediate superior.
• Help other group when own workload permits with approval from the immediate superior.
Major Projects Involved: 1. CCAD ( Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi) at Al Mariah island. A 360 bed 7 star multi spatiality hospital. Lead Consultant AEDAS and engineering consultant AECOM and project management by JACOBS.
