Procurement of Capital Equipment, Spares and Wear Parts, Indirect / packaging Material, Local Purchase Items & Services.
Planning / Expediting / Disposition of raw materials required for production from suppliers mostly from Europe.
Responsible for procurement process from purchase requisition to payment to supplier in Krosy (ERP) environment. This involves preparation and issuing enquiries for request of quotation for all engineering and non-engineering materials and obtaining technical and commercial bids from vendors. Comparison of the quotes/vendors on the basis of technical and commercial capabilities as per the policies, practices and procedures. Issuance of purchase order to the best supplier on the basis of right quality, right quantity, right price, at right place, at right time. Responsible for booking of services and arranging of booking of materials through stores and attaching the purchase order with the invoice for payment. Maintaining all the files and correspondences as per the ISO 9001:2000 requirements.
Co-ordination with Production, Maintenance, Quality, Logistics, Engineering, IT, HRD & IMDS departments for the various Organizational requirements.
Liaison for techno-commercial negotiations with vendors on price, quality, and payment terms, delivery, packing, damages and sales returns and mode of delivery. Ensuring delivery of materials and machines in right time and at the most cost effective mode of transport
Preparation, negotiation and administration of purchase and service contracts under the supervision of the commercial manager.
Administration and reporting as necessary.
Developing new vendors for obtaining cost reduction in the supply of existing materials and to develop alternate source.
Working in close co-ordination with Central Purchase team and other European plants for procurement and transfer of machines, spares and tools
Assisting the Purchase Manager in the procurement of provisions, ship’s spares and other technical and electrical stores for the vessels calling the U.A.E ports/Anchorages. As the purchaser, the duties involved are floating enquiries, obtaining quotations, price negotiation, issuing purchase orders, coordinate timely deliveries, ensure quality/quantity requirements, prepare summaries/evaluations, follow-up the stock and set up forecast plans.
As an Operations assistant, I am involved in the organizing of the daily office routines, scheduling of deliveries and dispatching of supplies, record keeping of the shipments and couriers and other communications, and provide other services for the Vessels calling in U.A.E
As a company’s representative, I attend cargo/cruise vessels calling to UAE ports, anchorage, and Dry Docks for the supply of provisions and ship’s store items and for generating new business. Has a good knowledge of provisions (dry/fresh/frozen) and ship’s store items as per IMPA and the suppliers.
Also has knowledge of import/export documentation, Ports and Customs procedures, basic accounting, L/C’s with warehousing and logistic norms.
Reporting to the Area Manager, Managing the Sales and Marketing activities of Tropicana juices in top supermarket outlets, Hotels other Institutions.
Launching new products/flavors, creating new accounts, monitor distributor claims and deliveries, making MIS were the duties involved.
Conduct market research, monitor market trends, initiate new sales strategy, product promotions and pricing.
